Many times. The outline I started with isn't the story you just finished reading. Characters changed. Plot twists appeared out of nowhere. Some scenes refused to cooperate. Others surprised me so much that I had to throw away my original plans. There were days I stared at a blank page wondering if I had made a terrible mistake by trying to write my own book. But somehow... Here we are. The End. Is this a perfect novel? No. Not even close.

AMELIA POV The coffee is still hot when I settle onto the back porch at seven AM. Two weeks in Clearwater, and I’ve fallen into a rhythm. Morning coffee while watching the garden wake up. So now allow me to talk about the novel itself. I have talked to my editor about it and I came to know that my first few chapters are quite odd. The beginning chapter itself barely had any conversation. Well… To be honest, it can’t be helped since I wrote it on my first attempt in writing. I have no background. No experience. I read. I read. I read a ton. I was very smug about my memory since I could remember all sorts of details from hundreds of chapters back.

She had savings as well, but those had also been slowly decreasing month by month. I didn’t set out to write something that addresses these issues directly, but they became a part of her world as I planned out the novel. What are your long-term plans for the novel?
