Novel & Cerita Novel Stonewall Charlotte

It was closer to the city because of how large it was. The guards greeted us warmly and let us into the prison dungeons where Charlotte was held. We waited in a large room as one of the correctional officers went to get her. It was clear that they hadn't treated her well at all. Charlotte was a mess. Her hair was disheveled, and her eyes were red. She cussed when the guards pushed her into the room we were in. Her eyes went to see Ellis,

Abby broke the silence after a long while. “Uhm- well, I was still back in Atlanta. Work kept me there the entire decade. My family is also back there, so there was not enough reason to leave a place I knew and loved. I also got engaged,” Charlotte mentioned, awkwardly moving her finger around a spot on the table cloth while shifting her gaze across Mark and Abby. She noticed Abby’s eyes gape, but Mark’s face was expressionless. Clearly, Lucas had also mentioned that to him. “But that did not end well since I am here now,” Charlotte summarised. She did not wish to make Lucas uncomfortable nor did she wish to relive her past any longer. Her present moments mattered more to her.

"You may enter." Charlotte pushed open the door at the top of the stairs with a touch of trepidation. It probably hadn't been wise to leave Forester and come to New York to live like a normal person. But she hadn't been so foolish as to come without letting anyone know. The Uber driver had waited at the bottom of the stairway, still muttering how much he hated to wait to take back a customer when he could have gone to render services to others.

Charlotte went downstairs while I headed to the shower. I took a shower, then found my clothes on the bed like yesterday and my name was still Steve the book store manager even today. A few minutes later, I joined Charlotte downstairs. Both my breakfast and lunch box were ready. I pulled the chair as Charlotte fixed a tie; I was pretty bad at tying a tie. She then sat on the chair besides me. I took a bite on the mouthwatering bacon that Charlotte prepared for me once again. The name that I saw in her laptop hit my mind at that moment. “Babe, do you have an ex-boyfriend called Kat?” I asked. To my surprise, Charlotte’s eyes got big but this time in was fear that consumed her face.

He spoke to her, she nodded as she thought about all those P*******t pictures she had saved on her phone. "I'll be sure to let you know." She smiled and once that was out of the way they stared walking towards the front doors. As Charlotte waited for him to open the doors she couldn't help but feel like this was never going to work, she will never be comfortable to live here with him. Even when she lived with her parents she felt like she was living with strangers but at least then she was comfortable, they didn't need to know her for her to be comfortable enough around them.

They would always look scared as they spoke about her and her mother or start faking a cry. She and her mother had no one to protect them nor did they have anyone to turn to but with time, other news began to come out, successfully drowning them out. The only time her and her mother appeared in the news again was when Bethany and Dalton's engagement was made public. Charlotte did not feel any ounce of sympathy for Bethany as she watched her being stoned with rotten eggs and dirty water being poured all over her. She and her mother passed through things that were worse and it was all orchestrated by Bethany and Amarie.

"We're committed to one another and that's all that matters. I don't need her to wear my ring to prove it." "If you say so," I raise my eyebrow as I adjust my cufflink and look out the window at those gathered below. I know he's trying to save his pride, and that not being able to declare his love openly is a struggle. It wasn't so long ago that Charlotte and I were in the same situation. It is fortuitous that I get to marry her as part of our charade. The trick will be taking down McAllister before he realizes that she's pregnant.

"I'm the only one who knows who you really are. You're even richer than that snob, Charlotte." I remembered Charlotte. The bully girl in high school. Her father owned a dairy factory, and she always told everyone that he imported milk worldwide. Charlotte, the redhead, always dressed up like a witch and maintained her sexy gothic style. She became Stev's personal prostitute, who was the head of the basketball team. Well, maybe Charlotte thinks they are lovers, but Steve always tells her what they are doing behind her back. Everyone at school knew Charlotte's game, and about the first time, she lost her virginity.

For a plain guy like him, having her throw herself at him felt like winning the lottery. Drunk on desire, he started tearing at her clothes. Breathing heavily, he murmured, "Charlotte, I need you. Right now…" Charlotte's disgust finally slipped through. Just before things went further, she pulled away with an excuse. "Not now, Finley. Once Yelena's completely out of the picture, I promise I'll make it worth your while." It took some coaxing and fake kisses to finally push Finley off her and out of the restroom. Once he was gone, Charlotte spat on the floor in contempt. Then, she pulled out her phone and dialed a number.

Charlotte’s POV Scotland’s chill was nothing like Atlanta’s. It didn’t bite right away—it just seeped in. After a while, you stopped noticing how the wet stuck to everything or how the drizzle hung around long after the sun came up. I hated it at first. But now I liked the quiet. No one in Edinburgh recognized me or cared who Charlotte Hayes was. No sympathy stares, no whispers about fake pregnancies, no one knowing I used to live in a house that needed a map.
