Novel Writing Month November Novels & Stories

November in New York is the month that tells the truth. The October performance is over, the trees are what they are, bare and clear against a sky that has given up on being anything other than grey for the next several months. The city strips back to its essential self and operates from there without decoration. Samuel says November light is the best light for painting. He says it at the kitchen table on the first morning of November with his coffee and his notebook, making a note about the quality of the light coming through the window, the specific flat clarity of it that does not flatter but does not lie.

Not gently — the mountain territories didn't do gentle November. The first week brought three days of hard rain that stripped the remaining color from the aspens along the lower road and left the ridge clean and bare against a sky that had made its decision about winter and was implementing it with the methodical efficiency of something that had done this many times and knew the process well. She stood at the east wing window on the first properly cold morning and looked at the stripped ridge and thought: here we are again.

Just a quick note to let you all know that I am going to be working my ass off to bring either multiple chapter uploads per day for the rest of the month. I am still incredibly busy however, I want to have this book completed by December (or New Year at the latest). once this book is completed, I will be taking a break from writing for a while HOWEVER I will be back with the third instalments of The Deviant CEO and The Outlaw Chronicles as well as other new books/works!

Thank you SO MUCH for reading "Not All That Glitters." I began writing this novel July of 2019, and made it my official NaNo project. The last chapter was posted at the end of November 2019. I've completely fallen in love with my characters, and spent tons of time developing them! I asked him, forcing a smile. "Yes, that's right, dear, you will." "So, what is the plan for this month?" I asked them, trying to lighten the mood somewhat. "Well, it is nearly the end of the month, so therefore, the end of the year. We traditionally have a bonfire, as the moon for December is called the cold moon, along with the oak moon and the long night's moon. We typically try to burn at least some oak during the bonfire, but it's mostly staving off the long and cold night with the fire. This year, though, I would like to make it a bit of a pre New Year's party for the pack."

Hey friends! I hope everyone is enjoying this beautiful season change! I know that things have been chaotic for everyone recently, myself included, but I wanted to drop by and let you know that I haven't forgotten about this story. I've taken the month to adapt to my new job and my new schedule, but I intend to resume this story next month. The plan is to produce a chapter a day and hopefully have the story finished by the end of November. I hope to be able to finish two of my books by the end of the year.
