The Deal with the Billionaire Devil

The Deal with the Billionaire Devil

“You’re the guy who had sex with the girl and ended up trying to kill herself on the internet. Why are you Americans so obsessed with the Internet?” “It’s a global communication, it connects with people, it’s informative, educational, and useful, and it works for remote work, such as myself. The Internet offers job market, banking, shopping, entertainment, to name a few, and yes, I was that guy. Do you have any problem with me?” His big nose flared. His eyes narrowed. “Yes. I have a problem with you. You don’t deserve to marry into this family.” “I’m not aware you’re a family. The last time I checked, it’s incest to marry a family member. Is it not in this country, too?”

A Second Life Inside My Novels

A Second Life Inside My Novels

For the first time, Cathedra had someone who didn't cringe every time she opened her mouth to speak. So this is what having a friend feels like, huh? Cathedra thought to herself. One lunch break, while waiting for Diane underneath the tree, Cathedra was scribbling a draft of her first novel in her notebook. The novel contained the scenes she saw in the storybook, back in her kindergarten days. Since that day at kindergarten, she didn't tell anyone what she saw in the storybooks anymore. The thought of seeing things that other people couldn't still terrified her but she tried hard not to think about it by avoiding any book she can see other than school books and textbooks.

Billionaires And Beaches: The Kisses Series

Billionaires And Beaches: The Kisses Series

I had no idea how I was going to go out on another date anytime soon. I knew I wasn’t ready to get back on the dating carousel as much as I knew I had lied to Rosie about the possibility of the ‘perfect guy’ lying in wait. I hated to think that she might have been even a little bit right about the connection I had felt. The idea of replacing Gabe was daunting and impossible. But maybe not in the world of cyberspace, I thought. The Internet was open to whatever clever spark of witty narration I could throw at it. And if my readers—and my Mother—demanded continuity, I could give them continuity.

The Million-Dollar Mission

The Million-Dollar Mission

"That's not impossible." This time, Janice really couldn't hold it in anymore. She laughed so hard that she started honking like a goose. Andrew didn't say a single word from start to finish. He just stood there blankly like a wooden dummy. I figured that this would happen. After all, this novel was written around 2007. Although people had started using the internet for business, it was still in its early stages. Most people weren't as involved in the Internet just yet. So, the potential of social platforms wasn't realized until much later.

She Weaponized the Internet, I Weaponized the Law

"Stealing something your mom left you? What kind of person does that?" I couldn't hold back anymore. Switching to a burner account, I commented, "Is it possible your husband was in on it with someone else?"

Bloodmoon & Incubi Anthology

Bloodmoon & Incubi Anthology

In my century-plus years, I’ve seen many technological advancements. Some were good, some were bad. And none have been as perfect a double-edged sword as the internet. The internet connects people and expands the accessibility of knowledge to the masses. It also gives a platform for people, some of whose inside thoughts ought to have remained that way, an opportunity to hurt others globally. All aside, as a supernatural being held accountable to the statute of secrecy, the internet is the worst invention ever.
