She was wearing green scrubs. A doctor? Jasper got up from his seat, which meant I did too. He pulled me towards the woman. “Another one, huh?” the brunette teased. “It's not like that…” the Lycan said, embarrassed. “This is the patient, Mary Wolffe. The one I told you about on the phone.”

"Tell the Alpha that she is awake." I shake my head, trying to understand. The closest pack to Lycan City is several hours away. Why would I be brought here? It is a huge accomplishment given her age and the fact that she is a werewolf.

Jason tugged sharply on his white jacket and finally stepped back to let the nurse work. They'd known each other for a long time and had even trained as nurses in their prime. Tanya cunningly averts her eyes to my father, before directing them to me again. "Quite a nasty accident. How are you feeling?" She questions, as she checks the machines next to me.

I ignored her questioning gaze and walked away, determined to find another lead. I spotted another nurse passing by and stopped her politely. "Excuse me, do you know anything about the Night City Pack?" I asked, trying to convey my desperation. She smiled knowingly and asked, "Are you a wolf?"
