Seven hours. Richard hadn’t been here once. “Miss, where’s your handsome Alpha?” the nurse asked as she adjusted the IV. “It’s too dangerous for a werewolf to be left alone on a drip. If the spiritual energy in your blood gets out of control, the consequences could be… fatal.” I curved my lips into something that resembled a smile but said nothing. Later, as I made my way down the hallway, leaning against the cold wall for balance, my wolf ears caught whispers drifting from the nurses’ station.

Dasha's POV "Come with me!" she said, looking at both of us. I was a little worried and suspicious of the middle-aged nurse, her face was also a little scary and pale. But somehow I seemed to feel a strong connection with her. Usually we werewolves feel this bond when we meet other werewolves. "Are you a nurse in this hospital?" asked Nicholas suddenly. The middle-aged woman smiled as she opened the door to the hospital storeroom. "You don't have to be afraid of me, can't you feel the strong bond between us?" The nurse asked instead.

"You don't have to worry, Rei. I am fine." No, he was not. The deathlike pallor of his skin was something to be concerned off. He was deathly pale and he was always catching his breath. I always felt sorry for him. Why did he have to suffer like this? "Dad. Please. We will not be at ease if you are alone. Do you know your nurse's number? How about the pack doctor?" Unfortunately, the nurse was from a lineage of humans but was raised by werewolves. Mind linking was out of the option.

I asked her to take good care of my dad while I'm gone. “Miss Vanessa Campbell, it's your turn now,” a lady in a short white gown announced. She's a werewolf doctor. I went to a general werewolf clinic, which is quite the only place I can go to for now. “Thank you, nurse, I said as I quickly stood up and began walking toward the direction of the room. When I arrived at the door, I sucked in a good amount of air and exhaled before walking into the room. “Miss, Vanessa, you're here again. Why?”

“If you want a divorce, then go die!” He suddenly pulled a folding knife from his pocket and lunged toward the woman. Everything happened too fast. No one expected someone to bring a knife into a hospital, and the young nurses were terrified, frozen in place. I reacted almost instinctively, instantly activating the werewolf power within me. I shifted into my wolf form and shot forward like an afterimage, slamming my shoulder hard into the man’s chest. At that moment, Justus arrived with security. He had officially joined the hospital as a doctor—“slumming it,” as he put it—just so he could stay close to Hoyles.

Alpha Liam cried trying to control himself from revealing his werewolf ability in the human world. The doctor rushed to Lyla who was now stonecold with the baby in her stomach and checked her heartbeat but noticed she was not breathing anymore. Shaking his head he replied, “She is dead.” The nurse stopped and everyone was sad for a moment. And as she was about to be sent to the morgue where the dead are kept Lyla revealed her true nature which was supposed to be kept hidden accidentally as she rose from the dead with a loud growl that shook the whole hospital and can be heard in all words.

He wasn't having this hesitation. "F-fine, you stubborn wolf! I'll be back! Make sure to tell Vivienne," he said. The vampire disappeared then and my pack crumbled to the floor. "Comb the pack house! COMB THE WOODS!" I yelled in alarm. I have to make sure its gone. "Alpha," I heard a voice crack by me. I looked behind me to see one of the lab coat nurses. She was avoiding eye contact with me. "Nurse Nena requests you come right away."

This confirmed in my mind once again that I was within a werewolf pack. So many elements of conversation I had heard since I had come around had indicated this, but in my sleepy or confused state I had been undecided about this, but this nurse had definitely referred to our location as a pack. But, why would I, a human, be here with werewolves? He asked, eyeing my wound. I winced as the nurse began to clean the slight burn on my hand. "Just a little accident in the kitchen," I replied, trying to downplay the situation. Dr. Oliver raised an eyebrow. "It looks like it could be a bit more than a little accident. Let's get you checked properly." I nodded as I waited for the doctor to finish examining me. Dr. Oliver motioned Jane to step aside and began dressing himself after examining my burn wound. However, I noticed the curious glances of the other werewolves in the hospital. They all knew me as the former Luna, the one who had been rejected by their Alpha.

My eyes went round, “oh shitballs, this Isn’t good Elaine, what if he remembers me.” She smiled, looking me up and down, “the last time I seen you in your scrubs, you didn’t look anything like this, of course he is a wolf, so he may scent you as someone he’s run into but, I’m sure he wouldn’t think that nurse is the bombshell that stands here now, anyway he probably won’t even look in your direction, unless he wants a one and done.” I chuckled, “you’re right, I certainly don’t look like a nurse in this outfit,” he’s the last person on earth that would ever get a one and done, not in this lifetime anyway.
