' I cried inwardly. "Prince Christian would select the princess I choose for him," Queen Athena said as she stirred her son to face the guests. "12 beautiful princesses with Lycan blood running through their veins would be ushered into my palace, and they would compete for my son’s heart. There is no-one better than a Lycan princess, and my son understands the fact. "

Finally, there was a girl that looked just like me, almost like a mirror. “You know me as Serenity,” she started to say, “I am your fairy and control your magic.” She then gestured to each figure in turn. “This is Arashi, she is your dragon soul, princess of dragons. This here is Lucinda, your wolf spirit and healer. Finally, this is Silk, your sprite. She controls your vampire magic and is the form you’ve been adopting since you were 8.”

The Queen stood, preparing to leave. Aynyra shouted, "Wait! Please, I am part Fae, I'm a descendant of the Fae who fell in love with my Kingdom's human prince. Can you help us now?" The Queen paused and turned around, returning to her seat, "I heard you possessed magic. Is it just you two girls?" "As far as we know," Aynyra offered a hesitant smile.

Her voice rang out, clear and commanding, “Assemble and await further orders!” My curiosity piqued, I approached her. She turned, her emerald eyes appraising me with keen interest. “I’m Allissa,” I said, my voice steady despite my inner turmoil. “The Lycan King’s mate.” A smile curved her lips. “Dayanara Nyte, Princess of the Sorcery Clan and, as you can see, an enchantress.” She gestured to the army behind her. “We come late, but we bring our strongest. The sorcerers of my clan stand ready to fight.”

One spots us and shrieks with delight. “New bride! New bride!” They swarm. Suddenly I am draped in flower chains, hair braided with glowing vines, cheeks kissed by a dozen giggling creatures. Sael yips and chases them in circles. One nymph perches on my shoulder and whispers conspiratorially, “The prince broods harder when you’re near. We like it. He’s prettier when he’s miserable.” Another tugs Lyriel’s wing. “Is she going to break him? Please say yes.”

The Centaur teacher cleared his throat, attempting to regain control of the situation, but even he knew that wherever Nyxoria went, chaos was sure to follow. The pink-haired girl, Princess Nasa, sat with a poised grace that was second nature to her, her sharp eyes flickering with thinly veiled disdain as they met Nyxoria’s gaze. The tension between them was palpable, a silent battle of wills that needed no words to explain. They were family, but blood ties often meant little when hearts were divided. Nasa is the only child and daughter to the High King Vyr and his wife.

“You’re pale.” “I feel like I’ll pass out.” “But you won’t,” she said, slapping my shoulder tenderly. “You have my blood coursing through your veins. You’re tougher than you look. You’ve proven that already.” I shook my head. “I don’t understand,” I said. The seriousness of what she just confessed to me was slowly sinking in. A lot more questions came with the knowledge that I was the missing Lycan princess. “If I’m the princess, then who is—”

“I don’t need a Hunt, Beckett. And I certainly won’t be Sparking with any brownies or winged creatures either. It’ll happen when the Goddess wills it.” “Maybe, but if you don’t plant your seed in some fertile belly soon, Spring will start to wither. Wouldn’t want to be responsible for the annihilation of your entire Kingdom, would you Jayce?” Beckett hissed back. He threw his head back in mocking laughter, shaking out his golden hair. “Boys, how about we have a bit of decorum about us.” A voice breezily chirped from just beyond the clearing before the small, pixie-ish Princess of Winter glided into view. All three princes straightened themselves from their slouched positions.
