The silver star in the distant sky suddenly flashed brightly. Then, without warning, it shot across the heavens like a falling comet. Not toward me. Not toward the Source. It flew directly toward the battlefield. Toward us. The tiny star stopped only a few feet away. Its silver light slowly unfolded into the shape of a door. An ancient door carved from crystal and moonlight. Words appeared across its surface in glowing silver letters. ONLY THE ONE WHO HAS NOTHING LEFT TO HIDE MAY ENTER. The door slowly creaked open by itself. Beyond it, there was only light.

She wandered through the vast penthouse, which felt like a labyrinth, trying to find something to do to distract herself from the turmoil in her heart. Then her eyes fell upon a door at the end of a rarely used hallway. It was a door she had never noticed before, or perhaps she had seen it but paid it no mind. That door was completely different from the others in the house. While the other doors were a clean white with a modern design, this one was made of pitch-black wood, looking heavy and ancient. It had no knob, only a small silver metal plate that looked like a slot for a card or some kind of special key.

The land surrounding it had withered—trees bent away from the tower, grass turned to ash, and animals lay dead in spirals of bone. Aria, Kael, Mira, and ten warriors entered the ruin. The air grew colder with each step underground. Strange whispers echoed, though no mouths moved. The walls were slick with black sap that pulsed like a heartbeat. Deep beneath the stone, they found a door. No hinges. No handles. Just a circle carved into the wall. Mira pressed the memory stone to it. It opened. Inside, the floor was covered in roots. Twisting, reaching. In the center, a pool of blood that never dried shimmered like glass. And above it, carved into the ceiling, a sigil that throbbed like a livin

Though this new path added five more days to the trip, it was safer and smoother, better suited for Lyra, a fragile she-wolf who deserved care and protection. But that wasn’t the only reason. This path passed by a special place, a small cave deep within Gloomwood where Raven and Cara, who was now Lyra, had once lived happily together. Raven had heard that the Potion of Oblivion, the memory-erasing elixir Lyra had taken, wasn’t permanent. With the right stimulus, the memories could return little by little. He hoped the first ones to resurface would be the beautiful moments they once shared.

Good. They rode for three days through terrain that hadn’t existed in a thousand years. Places erased from history. Forests of glass. Rivers that flowed backward. A field of statues that screamed if you stared too long. And on the fourth morning, they reached it. The Gate of Forgotten Things. It was just a door. No more than ten feet tall, standing alone in the center of a dead plain. But it pulsed. And whispered. Kael stepped forward. The mirror in his satchel shattered.

“Road ends here. We hike the rest.” The team stepped out into the cold, night air biting at their skin. Snow fell in slow spirals, muffling sound, thickening the atmosphere with weight. They gathered their gear and began the trek up the narrow trail. Jagged cliffs towered to one side, a sheer drop yawning on the other. The path twisted and narrowed until they reached a plateau. There, embedded into the rock face, was a door. Not a vault hatch or bunker entrance. A door. Smooth steel. Seamless. Without visible hinges or a handle. A single scanner glowed on the wall beside it—coded, Damien knew, to a specific genetic sequence.

And in the center of that platform, pulsing softly— Was the doorway. Selene’s breath caught. It wasn’t a door in the traditional sense. There was no knob, no hinge. It was a veil of shimmering silver light, suspended in a frame of obsidian carved with the same symbols they’d seen in the vault beneath Cassiel’s home. The symbols were alive. They pulsed. They whispered. And the doorway… it throbbed with restrained power. Selene stepped closer. “This is it,” she whispered. Theoden’s eyes narrowed. “The door to the other side.”

Actually glowing. The shadows had fled from her, like she was some kind of weapon. And worst of all— I didn’t think it was over. A deep, low rumble shook the cavern again. Diva tensed. We both turned— And saw the door. A massive, stone door, covered in ancient carvings, standing at the far end of the cavern. We hadn’t noticed it before. Because it hadn’t been there before. Diva’s glowing hand twitched. I clenched my jaw. “I don’t like this.”

I pointed out. “Here!” My dad walked towards the door and touched it placing his right hand, with his five fingers open placed smoothly on the door and suddenly the door disappeared into dust like ad illusion.. I stepped back in awe… What is this soccerey … “Did that door just disappear?” Raohb asked me while I was still trying to understand everything that was happening . I'm confused too… “It.seems like it!” “I'm loving where this is going!” Velvet exclaimed.. “Cool!” Liam added..

Could it have been a figment of her imagination, or was something lurking within the darkness, watching them with unseen eyes? As they continued their descent, the blue glow intensified, revealing a large chamber adorned with strange, otherworldly murals. At its center stood a towering obelisk, its surface pulsating with a faint, ethereal light. An inscription, similar to the one in the previous chamber, glowed on a nearby wall. Exhausted but determined, Evie and Liam approached the inscription on the wall. The symbols danced before their eyes, a complex code waiting to be deciphered. Just as Evie felt a wave of frustration wash over her, a faint, ethereal voice echoed through the chamber.
