Brody Everything is going wrong for me today. My best friend Oscar and I had just started working at The Club, the sex club that my sister and her husband owned. Except that I just got a look at the schedule, and we got put on opposite schedules. Now we not only don't work with each other, we also don't get to hang out after work either. They checked our IDs and then waved us through. I felt a rush of adrenaline as we entered the club, my heart racing with excitement. The interior was even more stunning than the exterior. The walls were covered in mirrors, making the space feel enormous. There were VIP sections with plush couches and private booths, and the dance floor was packed with people moving to the beat of the music. It was like stepping into another world. My eyes wandered around the club, trying to see if there’s anything that could be considered odd or out of place, but nothing caught my eyes. It looked like a typical club, dirty dancing, loud music, and drunk people. The club itself wasn’t fancy or prestigious, in fact, it was your common club downtown. Dirty for my liking and by dirty, I mean dirty. My nose scrunched up in disgust as I saw an old man in his sixties grinning down at a young girl while putting a handful of money inside her bra.

It wasn’t the name that caught me off guard, but the vulgar photo of two werewolves in their animal form having sex. “One Night Stand club,” Tessa introduced. “They’re meant for having sex within their members in order to increase their points exponentially.” I smelled a familiar scent and found Jaxon bypassing through the line to input his name in. The others squealed in excitement as soon as they saw him. “Are you interested in—” I cut Tessa’s question off by dragging her away from their booth. “Well, I’m assuming you don’t like that club.” I shook my head. “It’s a breeding site for infections,” I muttered.

And I definitely didn’t stop when I began to sway and my vision tunneled. Because as I said, I am a member of the black cross and those bitches need to see it.

Valerie’s POV The club transformed into a mysterious cesspool filled with hidden vices and concealed secrets. Faded red wallpapered walls throbbed beneath dim neon lights which cast eerie shadows across the cracked leather booths. Cigarette smoke combined with stale beer and sweat filled the air to create an intoxicating atmosphere that whispered late-night confessions and desperation. I had been in places like this before—where people exchanged their dignity for a few bills and their secrets for a drink. This evening presented my opportunity to obtain one of those hidden truths.
