I wasn’t going to draw circles. “Lara?” Dorian nudged me gently, his voice bringing me back. “What are you thinking?” “Nothing.” I blinked, pushing the memories away. “Just… the dogs.” They stopped howling as suddenly as they had started. The silence that followed was even more frightening than the noise. There was nothing left — no barking, no howling, no distant sound of cars. The next few times afterward pretty much did not affect him. The silence was the most terrifying part and the most painful part more painful as he'd wished for it to happen instead of enduring the silence. And here when he lost it. he hears their moans, screams, and cries. that was begging him to stop. Their screams tore through him like a great shard of glass. His eyes widened and his pulse quicken and his heart pounded no stop. The screams came again, desperate, terrified.

Then without waiting for any more, he left with big strides. Staring at the back of Nicolas, she stood at the parking zone, all alone. The darkness and silence of the parking zone were feeling extremely weird at that moment, it was exactly like the silence and calmness after the storm which has left after destroying everything on its way and leaving behind the marks of its destructiveness and cruelty.
