The Actor's Contract
I throw my palms up in surrender.
“Bitch,” she mutters, chuckling, already dropping her gaze back to the glowing screen. At least she remembers to pop the bonnet of the Huracán Spyder. The faint scent of leather and expensive perfume drifts out when the latch clicks open — that special, expensive-brand-new car smell.
“Damion sends his regards,” she says suddenly right behind me, making ME jump this time.
“Jeepers, woman — don’t do that.”
She hands me the groceries, and I concentrate on fitting them all into the small boot space, like a puzzle — because Lamborghini clearly believes luggage space is for peasants.
