I had not been in the best frame of mind, joggling school work and fighting my mental demons. Nobody knew that I had nightmares. Very lucid nightmares that I woke up screaming from. In those nightmares, I am Mum, carrying a child I do not want. Feeling it growing inside me, feeding from me like a parasite. In those dreams, I expel the parasite from my body in big, bloody clumps. I would be on the floor, writhing in agony.

GRAY When morning comes, I wake feeling more relaxed and rested than I have in ages. This was the first good night of sleep that I’ve had in… I don’t even know how long. I’m often plagued with nightmares replaying the shadow pack’s attack on mine, of my mother screaming at me to get away as she was torn down. Still, I barely even paused before I turned to the Nightmare eyes, not even bothering to close my eyes as I surrounded them with my illusions. They would turn pure black when I used my abilities, so I closed my eyes so as not to scare anyone. I didn’t care about scaring whoever was watching us with those damned eyes. Actually, I can think of a lot worse things that I want to do to them. Instead, I watched as the Nightmare Eyes got overwhelmed by my illusions and smashed into each other. I didn’t bother to turn around the face the four of them, knowing I wouldn’t actually be able to leave once I saw Aiden.

NIGHTMARES. A very bad or frightening dream. She chuckled humorlessly, “So if there is anything you think can help then I will appreciate if you told me about it.” My mind instantly drifted to Adamaris but she isn’t available for the next week. “I’m sorry we caused you this much trouble.” I said softly, “But I don’t know how we can help. If we figure out anything then we’ll let you know.” She bit her lip for a second, “My son is having nightmares.” Evan shot her a dark look but she ignored him, “He wakes up at the same time every day crying but he can never remember what the nightmares are about. There has to be something that you think can help.”
