I stood there, glaring at him, my fists clenched, my jaw tight, my entire body vibrating with a rage so pure and so absolute that I thought I might explode.
"This is not over, Dominic," I said, my voice low. "I promise you."
I turned and stomped out of his office, slamming the door behind me so hard that the glass panels rattled in their frames.
I was filled with so much rage as I left that building, so much helpless fury, that I could barely see straight. I got into my car and sat there, my hands gripping the steering wheel, my breath coming in short, ragged bursts, and I thought about what to do.
