The King’s Obsession

The King’s Obsession

I breathe, peering down the dark stairwell, the end shaded enough that I can't see through it. Marek tests the first step with the weight of his foot, before progressing slowly downward. Zavian and Nakoa come to stand next to me, looking down warily, both clearly having seen this for the first time right now. Thankfully Marek finds a switch, illuminating the place with enough light that a door at the bottom of the stairs is visible. "Watch you're step, the wood is rotting in places," Marek warns as I make my way down, hand gliding over the dusty banister.

Book 2# - Carefully she had wished

Book 2# - Carefully she had wished

I can not help but cower as I am intimidated by the cold and dark demeanor of this place. “Come…” he gently takes my hand in his own. He pulls me softly towards the staircase. My eyes latch onto this structure – it’s steps are perfectly smooth , it’s banister perfectly created with beautiful flower patterns carved in to it. It is a dark brown colour , the only structure that brings me some peace and comfort ; however the carvings are outlines with white. As we make our way up the steps , I can not help but let my fingers graze the banister – smooth as I excepted.

Carefully, she ascent the staircase using the wall to support her movement from falling. Marsha's fingers grazed the cool, worn surface of the wall as she began her ascent up the creaking wooden stairs. Each step seemed steeper than the last, and her heart raced in her chest, a wild rhythm that seemed to echo in her ears. The air was thick, and every inhale felt strained as if her lungs were struggling to keep up with the demanding climb.

Curse of the Wolves

Curse of the Wolves

I had no clue how many there were, or how they’d kept themselves hidden for so long, but there was no mistaking the cries of the dying. I clutched the thick fabric to my mouth and inhaled, finding it much easier. The smoke became thicker the further we traveled. It ignored Orion’s magic as though it were immune. My heart nearly stopped when we came upon the stairs. Flames, a brilliant shade of orange, danced and writhed, cloaking the entirety of the bottom floor. Draping the tapestry over my head and shoulders, Orion sprinted down the stairs, rounding the corner until we reached the foyer. He pulled the tapestry from my head and returned it to my hands, urging me to breathe.

The Book is Amazing! No need to debate, It's Jane of course it will be a masterpiece! I'm always fascinated in a multiple fated mates, aside from It's spicy lol, It also shows why someone is mated to many. Like what Orion said, Blakely fits them three; she can juggle Azrael's chaotic nature,...

I normally hate to spend the amount of money needed to finish the story faster. Because honestly I don’t buy real books for 50. Bucks. However, I really liked this story so I caved so bad. The characters are engaging and I really hated to see it end. Azrael will always be a sweet memory. Great work

EJIMA

EJIMA

Fear. Taking some gentle but précised steps back, her feet touched something that was buried under the dried leaf which carpeted the floor of the forest. Her stomach knotted. The object looked like a skull, perhaps, the skull of a baby that had died here. She picked the object but frowned from the rotten flesh that glued her hands. The eyes and mouth were gone, and what remains of the ear were at the mercies of some decomposing worms. Ejima steadied her grip on the object, placing them perfectly on her sling. She has not used something this heavy on her sling before, but what other option does she have?

I Kidnapped My Daughter

I Kidnapped My Daughter

She knows well how to climb the stairs as she had to practice herself climbing stairs in the café. Before the cafe had stairs but had close it because they don’t have a lot of customers before and the upstairs had never been used. Since now they had a lot of customers, Rosa started to open the stairs and clean them. And, Damia had been crawl ups and down from the stairs with Sophia's guard behind her. Louis let Damia climb the small stairs while several inches from Damia's back, his big hand had been wide open in case she fell, he could catch her immediately.

My Fake-Wife's Dreams come True.

My Fake-Wife's Dreams come True.

"God's timing is perfect. So have patience." [Jasmine] .... [Jasmine's POV] My Pudgy fingers wrapped around his neck to support me from falling. I didn't want my beautiful face to be ruined because of my carelessness. The staircase was too wide and the steps must have been 100. 'Who the hell is stupid enough to build a staircase containing 100 stairs. They must have been fucking dumb.' After glancing the third time at the staircase, I locked my eyes with my savior who had to clear his throat to get my attention. My cheeks stained pink in embarrassment.

The Unprecedented Yokai Hunter

The Unprecedented Yokai Hunter

Everything was destroyed in there and it looked like he had to climb up the stairs. “The elevator probably won’t work so… it’s stairs then.” Says Akihiko while slowly climbing up the stairs. There were at least 6 floors in that building since Akihiko had to climb 5 flights of stairs. Of course, he checked each and every floor for them. Although there was not much there, he took that little extra effort to look for them. On reaching the 6th floor, he walks in the corridor and the light bulbs on that floor start to light up one by one leading him to a door at the end of the hallway.

Once A Luna, Now A Stealer?

Once A Luna, Now A Stealer?

Theon instructs me. "I'm so glad that I'm not you," Haden remarks, making me feel worse. I look around as we climb the stone stairs. Each stair consists of five stones, and the higher we go the older the stones get. Each stone is marked by an ancient symbol, and as I step on it, it lights up just a bit. I wonder what they say.

The Feast of the Luna

The Feast of the Luna

The grand staircase of the Black Ridge fortress was an architectural masterpiece of obsidian and bone-white marble. It was also, as Elara was currently discovering, a death trap for anyone with a center of gravity that had recently relocated to their tailbone. "One step at a time, Elara," Fenris said, walking backward down the stairs with his arms out like a man trying to catch a falling piano. "Heel, then toe. Don't think about the tail. If you think about the tail, it wins."
