What Separates Me and You

What Separates Me and You

"Oh, whatever. You must stay strong. You're still young, so you shouldn't end your life over that rotten asshat! I haven't even traveled the world with you yet. "Hey, have you seen Rime Ice before? It happens when supercooled water droplets freeze on things. I'll show you! Here are some pictures I took last winter. I haven't even sent them to you yet." She opened her phone's gallery and clicked on a series of pictures to show Josephine. One was a picture taken on a mountain, where a blanket of snow covered everything. There were also frozen icicles hanging from the trees. Everything about it seemed magical and pristine. It was as if one's soul could become purified from being there. The plac

Rayna Pelkonen
This is one of the saddest female leads ever. It keeps getting worse for the FL. The plot is unclear. The reason for him being with both women and his feelings are unclear. It’s entertaining but not very satisfying. Like to know what his feelings are towards them and hope things get better for FL.

Book was a page turner until I got to the end and then had to start reading 1 a day. Some closure to MsJenkins and divorce but not fully closed. No real character development and Josie is getting worse. I will keep reading for now but may be jumping ship soon if Josies situation doesn’t get better.

Claudia said. At nine pm the ladies were ready. Claudia was wearing a tight gold sleeveless short bareback dress with matching five inch gold heels and Miranda was wearing a long blue dress that matched her eyes. The dress had a V neck and was tight up the waist and loose at the bottom. It had a thin lace of sparkling germs which looked like stars. It also had a long slit up to her thigh. She also wore four inch blue wedges. Both of them looked glamorous.

Mate on thin ice

Mate on thin ice

ECHOES OF FAILURE ~DARIN POV~ The ice doesn’t give a shit about how many times you’ve died. I dig my blades in harder, crossovers ripping the surface, shoulder-checking the boards just to feel the rattle in my teeth. Practice is half over, and I’m already sweating through my jersey, my lungs burning like they’re trying to remind me I’m still breathing. Fifth life. Same rink. Same numb fucking routine. Coach blows the whistle. “Salvator! Are you skating or daydreaming?”

The Alpha Protocol

The Alpha Protocol

Kael knew the frozen splinters from the Shoulders. He was covered with blue dust from head toe, but he was upright and lifted the thumb. I ran out a long, shaky sigh. “Good shot, Nova.” “Good idea, boss,” she grinned back and let the magazine slide out of her weapon. We climbed the steep rocky edge down into the canyon. The way was slippery, but when we got down, the extent of destruction was even more impressive. The commander was completely under an almost five meter thick layer of bury fragmented ice. The black substance that had driven him was

ICE BETWEEN US: BREAK ME

ICE BETWEEN US: BREAK ME

Seeing him broken on the ice felt terrifyingly wrong. Noa found himself skating forward before he even realized he was moving. "Leon!" The name escaped him louder than intended. Several teammates exchanged surprised looks. Noa dropped to one knee beside him. "Hey." Leon didn't answer. His face had gone far too pale. Noa's pulse exploded. "Leon, look at me." Nothing. The panic rising inside him became unbearable. Coach Finn knelt beside them and carefully inspected the injury. The skate blade from the collision had sliced across Leon's calf. Not too deep, but enough to bleed heavily.

he said. They walked and the lake moved beside them in its cold February way and the city sat behind them in its dense self-satisfied presence and the wind was the kind that pressed rather than merely chilled and neither of them was cold, or if they were it was the kind of cold that was simply weather rather than the other kind, the kind that got into your joints and stayed, the kind that had nothing to do with temperature. At some point his hand found hers.

Her Ice, His Rules

Her Ice, His Rules

[ Scarlett POV ] There is a specific kind of silence that settles over a room full of athletes when they've collectively decided to wait for you to fail. I'd grown up inside that silence. I'd learned to skate in it, learned to read the ice through it, learned to locate exactly where it lived in my body, just below my shoulder blades, a tightening that I breathed through until it became nothing, just air, just background. I'd been doing it since I was the only girl at my first hockey camp at age nine and every boy in my group had looked at me with that same particular expression: patient, almost kind, absolutely certain.

Beneath The Ice : Claimed By My Stepbrother

Beneath The Ice : Claimed By My Stepbrother

It was the only place that ever actually made sense when my head got like this. The air was colder inside. Cleaner somehow. Like it could scrub thoughts out if you stayed long enough. Joe leaned against the barrier while I stood on the ice for a bit without properly skating, just moving slowly, trying to reset my breathing. It almost worked. Almost. Then I heard a sound behind me. Not footsteps. A voice. Close. “You’re doing that thing again.” I froze. Slowly turned my head. Nikolai was right there at the edge of the rink, like he had just appeared out of nowhere and decided this was where he belonged. Hands in his pockets. That same calm expression. Like he wasn’t involved in any of the cha

The Ex-wife's Secret Empire: Beg For Me, Mr Blackwood

The Ex-wife's Secret Empire: Beg For Me, Mr Blackwood

Every few hundred yards, the tires would lose their grip on the black ice, and the chassis would slide toward the edge of the abyss with a sickening, heart-stopping lurch. Inside the bed, Maya felt the shift in the environment. The silence of the mountain wasn't empty. It was filled with a low-frequency hum, the sound of the high-altitude winds whipping through the power lines that stood like skeletal sentinels along the road. "The snow," Thorne whispered with his breath, sounding like a thick plume of white in the dim light. "Maya, look at the snow."
