Mine Alone
Before I could overthink it, that is, before I could talk myself out of it, I typed out the number, saved and already typing a message.
“Good morning, sir.”
I froze.
Stared at the message. Very cringe of me, but it was literally the first thing that came to me.
‘Sir? Really, Evans?’ I whispered.
I was about to delete it when my second consciousness that didn’t have any control pressed send.
My heart dropped straight into my stomach.
‘Oh my God… oh my God, why did I do that?’
I immediately locked my phone and threw it on the bed like it had burned me.
