One Dark Window Book 3 Novels & Stories

Elowen’s POV The sun, a molten orb of amber and gold, had just begun its slow descent below the jagged horizon, painting the western sky in fiery hues that bled into soft violets and deep oranges. The tall, arched windows of the triplets’ private quarters, a sprawling suite they had painstakingly personalized, cast long, dancing shadows on the ancient stone walls, the flickering light resembling the hushed whispers of old magic, secrets stirring in the very fabric of the mansion. I stood before the crackling fireplace, the warmth radiating against my back doing little to thaw the lingering tension that still coiled within me like a tightly wound knot after the day’s unsettling events.

Morgan sat in the dimly lit living room of his house staring at the half-empty glass of whiskey on the table. The midnight air hung thick with an eerie silence, broken only by the occasional rustle of leaves and the distant cry of an owl. Stella’s decision to leave with Uncle Xavier stung more than he wanted to admit. He understood her reasoning, but the ache of her rejection lingered which gnawed at his core. Suddenly, the air grew colder, and the flames of the candles dimmed as if an unseen hand had smothered them. Morgan snapped from his thoughts. He stiffened, his senses sharpening. He wasn’t alone.

Emily The morning sun streams in through my bedroom window, signalling the fateful day has arrived. Today I leave behind my old life for a new future as Luna of Red Creed Pack. More importantly, today marks the first step toward achieving my long-awaited revenge. By this time tomorrow, I'll be far from the grasp of Dorian and Lily. Too far for them to continue hounding my steps. A knock sounds at the door before my mother enters, her smile tinged with melancholy. "Good morning, my darling. Are you all ready for your departure?"

CHAPTER THIRTY-THREE: I was trapped under glass and surrounded by freezing cold water. I tried to breathe and only water entered my lungs, my eyes bulging out in panic. It was dark with just a sliver of light and I was frantically moving my hands along the glass feeling for a way out. My lungs burned with the need to breathe and my throat was coated in salt. I couldn’t feel for a way out and started banging my fists on the glass. I banged over, and over, and over again with the same result, nothing. I felt myself getting both cold and warm all over, my joints going numb. My eyes closed. And I felt so sleepy. If I could only just rest for a moment. My eyes flickered and for an instant I thoug

But I felt the shift, the dark web loosening inside him, the poison’s grip breaking. My arms shook violently, but I didn’t stop. Morgan’s face kept me steady. His voice. His touch. The memory of him holding me when I thought I’d break. “Open the windows”, I said in a hoarse voice that didn't sound like my own. Dark fumes radiated from him, pushing out into the air. “The window” I heard myself say, in the same hush tone. I led the fumes using my eyes to the window, and went out.

Home. Sleep takes me quickly. No nightmares. Just peace. Outside our window, a shadow moves. Watching. Waiting. The Council of Shadows' first agent. Already inside Iron Valley. Already reporting. The Dormant Luna has bonded with her mate. Completed the connection. Become exponentially more powerful. And tomorrow, she walks into their trap.

"The window is more fitting for you." His eyes narrowed, but he didn’t argue. Without another word, he jumped out of the window, landing gracefully before vanishing into the woods. I closed the window immediately, locking it tight. The room fell silent again, and I crawled into bed. As soon as my eyes shut, the darkness swallowed me, and I found myself somewhere else entirely. --- I was home. The familiar sight of my family sitting outside, enjoying the cool evening air, warmed me for a moment. But then, the moon turned a deep, bloody red, and everything shifted. Flames erupted around us, consuming everything in their path. The world burned.

He walked over to the large window and gazed out into the dark night, his mind racing with new dangers and hidden truths. END OF CHAPTER 160.

I walked out without looking back. Later That Night, Third Person POV The room was dark and cold, with a large opened window giving a view of the woods beyond the Citadel, cloaked in darkness. Two shadows stood by the window, away from the light so they were covered by the shadows. A man, tall and lean, his face hidden beneath a long silver cloak. And a woman fully cloaked. “She’s growing too bold,” the man whispered, his voice sharp like a blade. “The Moonborn thinks herself untouchable now.”

~This chapter contains graphic sexual content~ I pushed the door open and the room was pitch black as promised, the light from the hall showed a little closet by the door and it was open. I let the door close and lifted my purse off quickly, to set it down so I would be able to find it later. “Hey Eve, you found me,” I heard a voice from much further in the room. “I guess so,” I said, putting out my arms trying to feel around. Did he want me to walk back there or should I wait here for him?
