One Weekend with the Billionaire

One Weekend with the Billionaire

And immediately smiled. He was setting plates on the table. Suit jacket removed. Sleeves rolled up. Looking far too attractive for someone arranging dinner. I crossed my arms. "What's all this?" He glanced up. "It's Thursday." I stared. Then remembered. Our night. One of our nights. My heart softened instantly. "You did all this?" A small shrug. "You've had a difficult week." The answer was simple. Matter-of-fact. As though that alone explained everything. Maybe it did.

It's Fine, I am Fine!

"Not with you involved. She doesn't talk much, that one. I have many stories to tell you, but what comes to mind first is that day, that rainy Sunday. Remember Len?" "Yes," I softly smiled. How could I forget? He was a mess. He had his heart broken into trillion little pieces. He drunk so much alcohol and had the brilliant idea to swallow some pills as well and sniff a little cocaine all in the same day. We had a lot of fun at the hospital that day. "It was her first month at work and we didn't hang out at all back then. She was very reserved and kept everything for herself, so I didn't think to bother her at first, but I don't know why I called her that night, but I’m glad I did”

Seven Years

Seven Years

From his eyes, I could see annoyance. Finally, Richard interrupted, "Let Audrey have some food first." Helen wiped her tears. "Sorry, I’m so sad. Audrey must have been through a tough period. Come on, they made your favorite fish." Helen took me to sit between Richard and her. Jeffrey sat across from me, and Joanna sat next to him. What a loving family! I looked at the food. It smelt so good that I almost forgot what food looked like. What I wanted was to throw down my fork, grab it with my hands, and stuff it into my mouth.

If two go a week, that is five weeks. Maybe more or less? I need a plan.

apprehensive at the start, the first two chapters were slow, but I get it, it's the back story. I'm happy I stuck with it. if you're reading this, push through the first few chapters, it's worth it and over not even read the entire book yet

This story really turned into something great as we get to know the main characters in the first story. The second half was so good. So love the continuation of the story with the next generation and new mates in part two. Part three just got started and I’m loving it. Definitely a good read!

Great storyline! Love the characters... Laughed, cried, got angry... some parts were too drawn out others too short. A few grammatical errors, but overall a truly great read!!! Definitely would recommend it to others!

I really love this book. Huge character maturity over time. Unique story for this platform. You will fall in love with the characters and may even gain a new "book boyfriend" out of the read. The book is not short, but that makes it better to follow the roller-coaster love story. Great job, author!

One Week to be Loved by a Billionaire

One Week to be Loved by a Billionaire

Twenty-one days. I press my palms to my eyes until spots dance behind my lids. Twenty-four days to find almost two hundred thousand euros. Twenty-four days to fix the allergy mess that just cost me my most loyal customer and probably half the town. Twenty-four days to prove I’m not the failure everyone already thinks I am. A soft knock on the office door makes me jump. “Elodie?” Mara’s voice is careful, like she’s testing ice. “You okay in there?” I wipe my face quickly, even though she can’t see me. “Yeah. Just… finishing up.”

Seven Days to Say Goodbye

Seven Days to Say Goodbye

I took nothing extra—just a few changes of clothes, my passport, and the documents Professor Clark had sent. My phone buzzed again. Evelyn had sent a photo—Damian was kneeling, tying her shoelaces in front of a luxury boutique on Fifth Avenue. The caption: [He said I will always be the woman he loves most. Selena, you should have never tried to compete.] I stared at the photo for a long time. Then, I sent a single reply. "Since you’re the one he loves, you can have him. I’m done." Sent. I placed the phone on the coffee table in the living room.

One Night

One Night

Gavin and I had been married for almost a year, but he always treated me rudely. I looked at the door, still closed as before. Maybe tonight Gavin would come home late as usual. The water on my face turned sad at the thought of the fact that tonight would pass in vain. Okay, I'm okay. Everything will be fine. Even tonight will probably be the same as the previous night; you don't have to be sad. I tried to strengthen myself. Fifteen minutes passed; I turned off the light and decided to sleep on the bed after the room lights were turned off. The 7X9 room was completely dark, apart from a little light source from the window vent.
