One Guy Two Spoons Novels & Stories

On the day of my birthday party, everyone from the pack had turned up, the place loud and alive. Then, Glen arrived late, arm-in-arm with Fawn. Fawn’s lips were swollen and red, and Glen had a few suggestive marks on his neck. Their intimacy drew whistles and jeers from the crowd. “Our future Alpha sure is energetic,” someone called. Fawn gave a coy, practiced smile while Glen casually draped his arm around her shoulders. In my last life, I probably would’ve fainted on the spot. This time, I simply glanced at them, cool and measured, before returning to my friends and taking a small sip of water as if nothing had happened.

“So, how about some soup?” When Conner made no move toward the bag, Sloane didn’t miss a beat. “Don’t worry, I’ll get it,” he said, pulling the bag toward him and unrolling the top. “You’re probably feeling a bit weak from that cold of yours.” He dug into the bag. “Voila,” he said, pulling out a large Styrofoam cup with all the flourish of a magician pulling a rabbit from a hat. He placed the cup in front of Conner, then reached back into the sack and retrieved a second cup, along with a pair of plastic spoons. He slid one of the spoons across the table to Conner.

He rubs her back and she gestures to the problematic spoons, “I don’t see a difference, the size is the same, the position on the table is virtually indistinguishable from this other spoon. But using it for anything other than its intended purpose is ‘frowned upon most deeply’.” She sighs, giving up for now. George has again chosen her food for her, as she’s been drowning in the spoon section, struggling to see the spoons for the other mildly different spoons. George looks at the spoons in question, and frowns,

Oh my god, Ms. Fletcher would spend any amount to spoil you!" "I used to think Mr. Crane had a shot with her, but it looks like that's over now." "Just a few days ago, she mentioned that Mr. Crane was incapable, didn't she? I doubt she'd go for him, and my bet's on Ansel; he clearly has the best shot at taking the top spot." I walked up and asked, "Ansel, you're just a driver, aren't you? Who said anything about you attending the conference?"

He decided to eat it. "The spoon?"he asked. The guy frowned at him. "Or a fork?."Larry added. The guy glared hard at him. "Okay, what the hell...no fork,no spoon?,then how the hell did you expect me to fucking eat!!!"he shouted. "You need more beatings?."the guy scoffed. "If you can't eat with your bare hands,then fuck off."he added brusquely. Larry sighed. The guy turned to leave. "Alright...,fine,I will manage. I will eat with my bare hand so come release my hands."Larry said.

“Are you going to tell them you have another spoon?” I dig out the extra plastic spoon from the bag and sneak another bite of ice cream while Mark and Casper continue to fight.

The people I had in my circle were more of the fast-food joint crowd. Carl was cool. He was laid back and mostly high on weed but he was a hell of a chef. Tokahama, the head chef would willingly give his left hand to vouch for Carl. Hannah was a goth chick. I wouldn't let her come close to anything I was going to put in my mouth. She was scary. I think even James, our boss was scared of her. We took the evening shift along with Spoon. I never got to know his real name but everyone called him Spoon. The story as I heard it was that he had a thing for spoons. James had caught him trying to pull a spoon heist but he had been caught on multiple occasions. It was probably an OCD thing.

"I'll stop keeping you from eating. I'll let you know what happens in the end." They hung up. Valerie took the straw out and drank the juice straight out of the glass. After that, she stabbed her spoon into her husband's plate of food. "I want to eat your macaroni, darling." "It's full of pepper." Valerie bleated, "Just one spoonful. It's just to satisfy my cravings." Kieran handed her the plate. Valerie took one large spoonful, opened her mouth wide, and chomped down on it. Half an hour later, the three people walked out of Bennett's office. None of them said a word.

Thunder pounds in the sky, and the loud reverberation shakes me to my senses. Pushing myself off him, I side-eye him, wiping my hands on my shorts. He looks away first, pulling himself up out of the mud. I head to my side of the truck and climb in. That was close, way too close. Seconds later he slips in behind the wheel.
