He’s considered unmanageable.” “And they’re killing him,” I said flatly. “Yes.” He answered. I stared at the screen. Something sharp and restless moved through me, the same instinct that always rose when I saw waste disguised as order. “I want to see him,” I said.

Cain begins to feel irritated looking at Onyx acting all formal. “Stop acting politely and all formal. It’s disgusting.” Cain says abruptly. Onyx loses his patient and stares at him fiercely. He is boiling with anger. Suddenly, his suit is steaming and gas emits throughout his body. Then, a crimson fire burns the entire suit and traces to his hair. When the fire has burnt out, Onyx appearance has changed. He’s wearing a black hooded-singlet, a black trouser with chain hanging from one of the pocket, and a pair of black leather boots with belts strap all over it. His iris shifts from amber to electric blue.

"Oh, Goddess! What did you say to him?" I groaned again. "Please, can we not talk about this right now?" "Okay, but you better tell me later." "Knox sneers. His cold raspy voice startles us both and I jump back away from Orion. Orion looks disappointed and angry at the interruption. His mismatched eyes almost turn black. It's like my heart is breaking into tiny pieces again My heart leaps when I see my ex-mate. Knox is standing with his arms crossed with his muscles bulging through the black shirt . He is wearing a black cap that reveals only part of his icy-blue eyes . He clenchs his jaw like he is jealous and steps forward slowly

"That’s odd. It’s unlike any mark I have seen in this pack." Storm shrugged, "well, Aaro is unlike any fucking woman I know." I had a snowflake and a crescent moon, probably because of the last name Snowden and because Storm belonged to the Winter Bone pack. But to me, it was pretty fucking obvious why Storm had the mark he did. It’s because I’m from the Iron River pack. I had snow to represent Storm and he had water to represent me.

I had seen this same scene so many times and it never got any easier. Memories of past raids flooded through my mind. The image of Onyx standing over the smoldering rubble of my home flashed before me. I choked down the emotions. Now wasn’t the time to process the past. If I didn’t act, there wouldn’t be a future. After taking in the situation for a few seconds, Onyx strode forward and directly into the fray. He grabbed one attacking wolf by its scruff and threw it several feet away, causing it to skid along the hard ground.

I looked up and saw Iris dancing with the stranger I had noticed her exchanging looks with since this party started and I was too upset by what happened to me to feel jealous. If I am attracted to Iris, a she - wolf, how then, can I be gay? I asked myself to yet again. Can one be gay without having an inkling? I signalled one of the Omegas serving the party and he came bearing a tray of drinks. I took a cup without caring what kind of drink was in it and downed it in one swallow. The hot liquid shot through me. I needed it to bring me back to reality. I took another cup. This must be some sort of trick. Did Lyndon come with some spell of some sort?
