Deep in the forest so as to remain hidden from detection (for now), the Olc hierarchy assembled in an enormous cave, the main cavern far from the entrance at the edge of a steep cliff surrounded in trees and rocky terrain. Doran, the Olc Alpha sat waiting for report on the One they were searching for. The One, if he could find and mate her before any other, would grant him all power over the world’s packs, was close. He could feel it. His deep red eyes glowed blood red in the light of the fire as he looked around his circle of most trusted.

"Tormil raised his hand, glowing blue, and suddenly the weather became cold, with rain pounding us from above. We had to pull up, and take shelter. As soon as the storm let up, I sent my warriors to the surrounding villages and beyond. We will find the traitorous council." "Let's hope much better than we found and secured General Konnyr," Lorcan said dryly. Lorcan stood for a moment, before turning to Niamh. "I have to speak with the General and plan our next steps," he said dully. "If you are here when I get back…" Niamh had never seen his eyes look so sad. "I will be here," she said firmly. "I will always be here." There was a strong look of doubt in Lorcan's eyes.

Draven bellowed gloriously sending quivers to Onyx's heart. Onyx yelped as he felt his essence being taken from his spirit and cried, "I...I am sorry! Please forgive me, my Lord, for I did not know." The large wolf's expression remained unchanged, but the flames disappeared causing Onyx to release a sigh of relief.

“You want the boss? Fine. Dalton Storm. He’s the one running things now. Not the guy out front, not the dummy they parade for the cops. But I don't know who pulls the strings.” The blade didn’t move. "Anything else?" “What's the plan?” he asked cooly “There is a big drop coming to the east dock,” I said. “ If you're wondering, they're not weapons, not this time. He's bringing in young hybrid Wolves. They’re being sold off to rogue alphas and freaks who collect our kind like trophies. It’s dirty work, well I guess you knew that much” There was still no response. Just that icy metal kissing my skin. Damn he was hard to get anything out of.

Blood spills out from open wound. I take a step back as Valdis begins to stand again. He sheds his black armor, replacing it with deep ruby scales.  His scales, are cold as ice, blaze bright as an ever-flickering flame. His chest holds a hearth of burning fire, although in his remorseless heart lays rime much like the depths of his eyes. He lets out a huff of steamy air from his nose, staring on at me. The officials in the room gather in the back. Waves of fear roll from them in large bouts. My father stares into my eyes sending a large bout of dominance soaring through the room. The intense pressure has me gasping for air but I fight the urge to submit to him by releasing my own dominance.

My wolf has been trying to heal me but there is only so little she can do. My life is a freaking nightmare but am sure it will all be over when she’s finally dead. Then the joke will be all on her. ****** ****** Today marks day two since I made the deal and my emotions have been all over the place. I’m anxious, nervous, over-excited and most of all hopeful. Hopeful for a bright future with my first love. I’m pretty sure I’m seconds away from completely blacking out when the sound of thunderous footsteps suddenly invades the small clearing. Zeke. Finally, some help. “Let her go now, Orion. She’s about to pass out, can't you see?!” Orion, being deliberately insubordinate, pretends he doesn’t hear him, his intense eyes still glued intently to me like he’s studying some shiny, complex new puzzle he’s desperate to solve. Zeke doesn’t ask again. He shoves him violently with a sudden, brute force move that actually causes him to stumble backward several feet. The unexpected break in focus immediately snaps the spell, and the purple coils instantly vanish.

He runs to find Hunter to come up with a plan. We spot Hunter's wolf fighting two other wolves. Onyx doesn't hesitate and jumps on top of the wolf just before it launches Hunter from behind and instantly sinks his teeth into the wolf's neck before ripping out his throat. Onyx turns around to see Hunter still fighting the other wolf and just when he runs up to help a loud alarm pounds through the air. It hurts my ears and all the wolves stop fighting. Onyx tries to cover his ears when all Jack's men run off. That can't be good.
