Open When Its Your Birthday Novels & Stories

I took a step back in surprise, a soft gasp escaping my lips. The string of numbers that finally opened the safe wall was mine. It was my birthday.

CHAPTER THIRTY-SEVEN; A Question -- Althea decided to have a small celebration on her birthday. With just her, the shop's staff, Charlotte and Kai. It will be a closed-door celebration so she wasn't that pressured about having many guests. It was 6 in the morning when she decided to cook the food. Normally, you would celebrate birthday parties in the evening, but Althea wants the night free. She wants to spend time with her kid. It's been a long time since they last met, a months-long or so time.

"This is going to be so fun; you know how many people will buy you a drink just because it's your birthday?" "You realize my birthday's tomorrow, right?" "It's also a Sunday tomorrow; we're not doing a bender on that," Abby insists, shaking her head. "There's a science here, Juls." And a science it was, there was a correct time for every single step of my birthday. Eating cake, opening gifts from people, including Kyle's gift, which was a Smirnoff Ice that he claimed I had to drink right there on the spot. It was gross.

I sorted for balance. “Where do you want to go for your birthday?” Okay, this is surprising. “Why? You want to cut the cake with me?” I flopped despite the joy I felt for his taking note of my birthday. “Can’t I?” “If only you wouldn’t be celebrating Rose Waldeen. Can you afford to miss it?” Rose Waldeen, the Tiktok drama-doll, shares the same birth date as me. And to add, it is her 15th birthday, the year all female teenagers go berserk for. I doubt Lucky Rogers would ditch that for my birthday.

So, I thought this would be a gift you'll never forget. Call me by five this evening if you can do me this small favor. I'll drop the ticket off at your place by seven. It's a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, buddy. Besides, isn’t your birthday coming up? Think of it as a birthday gift from me to you."

It looks like the club we had my birthday at is the answer as all the others are saying it is too short notice. The amazing thing about living with Georgina is her password is simple and easy. She never changes it, despite me saying she should. Opening up a secret conversation in Messenger, I add all her contacts and message them the date and time, saying it is a surprise. The amazing thing about the secret conversation is it can only be viewed on my laptop, so even if she is logged in, she won’t know.

When I opened it with the key Drew had given me, I slowly pushed it open. "SURPRISE!" "HAPPY BIRTHDAY, MOMMA!" "HAPPY BIRTHDAY, SYDNEY MY DAUGHTER!" "HAPPY BIRTHDAY, BESTFRIEND!" "HAPPY BIRTHDAY, COUSIN!" "HAPPY BIRTHDAY, MA'AM!"

She couldn't even get a doctor's certificate. Louis's tyranny was genuinely harsh. "Boom—" A sudden sound echoed in the bedroom as the phone on the table vibrated. The sound of fireworks rang out from the phone, sounding very real. Lalisa reached out to pick up the phone, and the screen displayed animated fireworks images. In the middle of the fireworks was something resembling a rainbow, slowly revealing the words: "Owner, today is your 24th birthday. Is the cake ready? Let's celebrate together." It was an automatic reminder app on the phone.

Dear Max, I'm sorry I haven't been writing to you for a while. It's been really busy, and I didn't think you would want to read about my boring life. Anyway, I know it's your birthday in a couple of weeks, and I didn't think my letter would get to you on time if I wrote it next week, so I thought I would do it now, and then you would also receive your birthday card to open on the day if you chose to. If not, it's okay; I won't be offended.

He asked curiously. "Mine." She replied, smiling. "How can you have two birthdays at the same time?" "I wonder. My real birthday is January but my brother celebrates it for me every 7th of July. He called it my special birthday from him and that's how it has been over the years now. I keep on forgetting whenever he sends me gifts which is why I used it as my pass code. July 7 feels more like my birthday than January 20. I was born on a different day but I celebrate it on a different day."
