CHAPTER TWO I struggled against his hand on my mouth but he was insistent. In the end I went limp in his arms and he slowly released his grip on my mouth. He waited till the murderer had moved away from my family's death table, then turned to me. I stared at his features in momentary awe: his eyes were big and bright and blue, almost electric in their intensity. The eyes of an inexperienced man who hadn't yet seen the rougher side of life; probably nineteen or twenty years old, not much older than me. It still amazed her that she was finally the owner of her own business. Troy had just finished his baking for the evening when she slipped into the apartment. The last item was the orange cranberry muffins which were Juicy's favorite. He had actually just placed the last golden brown muffin into an oversized food storage container. Now everything felt right in the world. Juicy was home, the apartment smelled of fresh baked bread, and her pretty brown face held a smile that was now so natural as if she hadn't been that 'angry black woman' almost half a year ago.

Liam, Zak and Leo are sitting at the table laughing hysterically, drinking some brownish colored drink. I walk toward Liam whose eyes light up. He pulls me onto his lap as he kisses my cheek. I don’t know how everyone feels about this public display but no one seems to mind. “Here, try this”. He hands me his glass. I smell it. It smells like sweet oak. I take a tiny sip. It burns but is SO GOOD. I take the rest like a shot.

Jeremy prematurely ended the yacht party and forced us to apologize to Bailey. I opened the car door of the front passenger seat and saw a white lacey bra on the car seat. It was not mine. Jeremy simply took the bra and tossed it aside, but it revealed the white liquid beneath. I felt betrayed, and I could not stop my nausea as I bent down and dry heaved. Jeremy walked over and patted my back. “The front passenger seat is a little dirty. Would you like to sit in the back?”

“If this isn’t pet care, I have to contact the person who booked the job first to confirm.” Her expression flickered, then she calmed down. “Don’t be nervous. Just help me unpack a few boxes. That’s what errand runners do, right?” Something felt off. The job was listed as pet care, but there was no sign of an animal. The woman kept avoiding the topic. Even stranger: a small security camera in the corner of the room was pointed directly at the entrance and the sofa. I tensed up and stepped back. “Sorry, the job description doesn’t match what’s here. I can’t continue. You can update the order on the app, and I’ll decide if I can take it.”

I can't believe myself I ignored that statement. I felt everyone's gaze as I walked closer to the crystal(orb) . I put my hands on the crystal, closed my eyes and brought myself closer. Suddenly I heard the crowd gasping. I looked at the orb and saw seven colors. Black ,blue, red, violet ,white, yellow and the most obvious color of them all that catches my eye, Dark Green. Everyone seems surprised. This is getting more cliche than I thought it would. Someone please explain to me what is going on. This feels awkward in many ways.

“Fuck everything, I want you right now.” He dipped his head in the crook of her neck, getting aroused by that sour fragrance of oranges rising from her hot skin. The sourness of orange and the sweetness of vanilla found in the heat of her body made her serve like a pie.

There’s really no need for all of you to follow me.” “Nonsense, Ms. Ali,” Malix replied immediately, adjusting his jacket. “Besides, we heard there isn’t much grocery stock left in the estate. We’ll fetch some supplies while we’re here.” Before I could respond, Orange’s eyes suddenly sparkled. “Oh, look—there’s a pretty chick over there. I’m gonna get her number. Wait here—ah!” He barely took a step before Dexter smacked his shoulder again. “Dex, why do you keep hitting us?” Orange whined, rubbing the sore spot dramatically.

A lady selling fruits said. Ayesha's mouth instantly waters when she saw the small and round oranges in front of her. The bright orange color of the fruit makes it look so appetizing. But even though she likes them, it's a pity she doesn't have money. She doesn't even have a single copper let alone a silver which is equivalent to 100 coppers. "I'm sorry but I don't have money, ma'am." She shook her head and refused politely. Her eyes still glued at the oranges.
