There were gunshots on the upper level. It was dark and Marcus' men began to shoot. The orphanage went crazy. "Take cover!" Ethan shouted. His security personnel stormed the entrances, shooting with gunfire at the gunmen. Stained glass windows were blown out with bullets. Old wood beams are broken and split. When Aurora sat on her knees behind a broken pew beating her heart hard.

“They’re broadcasting again. Echo. You need to see this.” Damian picked up the device and turned on the holographic projector. Echo’s face appeared perfect, undamaged, smiling with Damian’s own smile. Behind him stood rows of new clones, all identical, all wearing the same cold confidence. “Citizens of New Lagos,” Echo began, voice smooth and commanding. “The so-called rebellion has lied to you. The man they call Damian Blackwood is weak. Compromised. He allowed himself to be bred like an animal. He carries the alien corruption in his blood. But I offer you purity. Strength. The rest of the evening continues with inspirational speeches from Lia, Angelo, survivors, and others. Finally, after 2 hours, it’s winding down, thank God. No offence or anything because I know it's an important cause, but I was bored, and I have other things on my mind.
