Forsaken

Forsaken

I ask once I've collected myself enough to formulate actual words. "A book," he replies, lifting it in his hand for me to see. "I went to the bookstore and thought I'd try one. I haven't really read anything just for fun in years." "Why not?" I question, my eyes tracking his movement as we walk. "My past," he replies slowly, the single word carrying a heavy weight, as if speaking of it hurts him deeply. I drop my short-lived investigation into that route immediately and try another. "What book did you get?"

Faded Oaths

Faded Oaths

It was obvious that Liam was behind these rumors. I didn't stop them. Instead, I shut down a few of the worst offending media accounts because I knew his company was about to collapse anyway. Without surprise, the rumors gradually died down. Soon, news broke that Liam's company was bankrupt. I had already noticed earlier that there were massive loopholes in his financial reports and that his cash flow was bound to collapse sooner or later. It looked like someone had sabotaged him, though he seemed completely oblivious. … One morning, I pushed open the door, only to find Liam begging outside my gates. He looked worn out and gaunt, and surprisingly, he lowered his head when he saw me.

Max's Revelation

Max's Revelation

If one’s parents die early, you become an orphan, if your parents abandon you emotionally, you are an orphan, if your parents are not present all the time, you are practically an orphan, so what is the difference of an actual orphan and these abandoned kids, nothing. The emotional scars and trauma are all the same. Their parents were not present when they most needed them. So what makes them bad people? Nothing, because nothing is wrong with them. They are regular people and should be considered as such. Orphans should be given the same chance as everyone else. Because, as Max and his siblings have proven, they have risen from the ashes and made something of themselves. They have their compa

This is intriguing, witty and I still enjoy the relationship among the siblings. there isn't a boring moment when they are together. Perhaps Max is the key to this chemistry or perhaps Clara, who knows? But I really enjoy the introduction of Celine. I can't wait for more chapters!

Thank you author for Max’s story. Was just as well written as Clara’s Mystery and I cannot wait to read Jeremy’s. Keep writing because I am a fan and hooked on your ability to tell the story that grabs your readers and has them thinking of the characters long after the last chapter!

Omega (Book 2)

Omega (Book 2)

Chloe asked as she and Harold walked out of the classroom. She was a great talker and listener, very confident, too, and… cool. Harold could sense those qualities and he appreciated them greatly although didn't commend her verbally. “I don't know,” Harold said. “What do you mean you don't know?” “I've never lived another life but this and since I don't know what it is like not being the pup of an alpha, I don't know what it is like being one,” he explained. “It is like asking you what it is like being… pretty.”

Lurking In The Dark - Book 1

Lurking In The Dark - Book 1

I could only hope that she would have settled in again by tonight, because otherwise I would be allowed to sleep on the couch one night again - and it was really uncomfortable. Sighing, I leaned back and opened the completely tattered book again, which I actually already knew by heart. But I wanted to repeat as much as possible today so that I could get off to a good start tomorrow. I ran my finger over the familiar table of contents. Foreword, evolution, instinct, social life, physiology, reproduction, ancestry, stem groups and subspecies. How many times had I made this movement with my finger? I couldn't count it anymore, but it was like a little ritual I had to go through before I could s

pulling a book from behind his back he held it in front of him "Do you recognise it?" I did recognise the book, the familiar cover was instantly known to me as the Greek Mythology literature kept in the library. Sweat began to form on Oris' brow as he waited for my reaction to the gift, and while I couldn't understand why he felt so nervous, it was incredibly endearing. "Oh Oris," I smiled, taking the book gently I ran my palm over the leatherbound front cover "It's our book from the library," Oris smiled as his body relaxed "It is! But it's a different one," he paused as he opened the leather cover "I bought you your own copy,"

Liam (Book 2)

Liam (Book 2)

Birdie stepped out of the room and came back with a glass of water for me to calm down. I drank the water halfway through the cup and took a deep breath before speaking again. As I explained everything from meeting Liam and falling in love, and ending up having his baby, I wanted to be sure Birdie understood. I know she would. Birdie was like me when she had her son but the difference between Orlando and Liam; one is a crook, and one is a boy who seems trapped. Not physically but verbally. And somehow, I could never reach him.
