Our Lie In April Novels & Stories

We had dreamed of having two kids—a boy and a girl—a perfect family of four. Now, this house no longer contained happiness but was filled with deception. I stood on the balcony, remembering those old memories as tears rolled down my cheeks. After a long while, I finally made up my mind—I didn't want Reynold anymore. Just as I turned to go back inside, I saw his car slowly pulling up and parking at our front door. From the balcony, I watched him laughing and talking intimately with Monica in the car, looking exactly like a couple deeply in love. When he glanced up, Reynold suddenly spotted me, and a flash of panic crossed his eyes.

April explained, looking remorseful. Wiping her cheeks, she sniffed "But I swear on my life that I wasn't aware that you had already ended things with Henry. He took advantage of my ignorance. Elsie was stunned by April's ability to tell fiction. It was interesting though. She could learn a lot. "It's okay, April. I forgive you," Aiden reassured her.

I asked touching it. “Mason Steele.” “What were you doing near him?” “He came to the house to pick up April.” “How did he know where you live? I hope he doesn’t know about us.” “I don’t think so. She overhead me talking to you and suspected an affair. I lied to her that I cheated with some terminally ill woman. She wanted to leave so I locked her in my room but forgot that she had her phone.”

April replies. Jag looks at her. "You need to tell me the truth right this second what's going on, or you're gone for good! Now you've always been truthful to me, so I want the truth now!" April starts crying. "I'm sorry. I just did it because she said she heard I was getting kicked out of the clubhouse. I swear. I wasn't going to demand anything except to be able to stay here. She said I could pretend I lost it and you'd feel sorry for me and let me stay."

"Liam has some work back at the pack," I lied hesitantly. Lily faced Liam. "April looks so pale. I know she doesn't take care of herself.
