As the hotel, Lynne flew from the station wagon through the mercifully empty reception area, and up the stairs to her second floor room. As she’d driven, she’d been fully aware of the headlights sweeping along behind her, headlights that had caught up with her less than a minute after she had left Cliff's cabin. She locked the door and leaned against it, steeling herself for the knock she was sure would come.

Lynn realizes this could be it for her unless she does something quickly. Lynn gathers all her strength, and in the flash of an eye, she extends her claws and rams them into the side of Sonya’s neck. Sonya’s hand slacks momentarily. She clamps a hand on Lynn’s wrist, holding it tight. If Lynn moves her hand, she can rip Sonya’s throat out. If she removes her claws, Sonya could recover and rally. Everyone is watching with bated breath and wondering if Sonya’s life will be spared or if she will die by Lynn’s hand.

Lynn replied as she examined the living room in front of her. "There are no signs of a struggle here, Lynn. And our people weren't in any of the exits like they said they were." Tristan said, "Do you think the Dark Moon got them, too?" Lynn did not answer, and just then, her phone rang, "Hello? Where are you?" She met Tristan's eyes, confirming that it was their men, and they both sagged in relief at knowing that they were alright. Lynn listened on the phone for a beat, her expression growing into confusion, "What? But--"

The pain tore through my chest, sharp and splitting, like my soul was being ripped in two. “If I were to take a mate from the Vance line,” Ryker continued conversationally, “it would be your sister. Kaelith has fire. Rank. Strength. She is a wolf.” His gaze cut into me. “You are a glitch. A mistake.” He stepped back, drawing himself to his full height. The air itself seemed to freeze as he inhaled, Alpha power rolling off him in suffocating waves. “I, Ryker Voss, heir to the High Alpha,” he declared, his voice ringing with command, “reject you, Elara Vance, as my mate and future Luna. I sever the bond. I cast you out.”

Whatever was coming, she needed to face Adrian now, before her resolve gave out entirely. What Lynn didn’t know was that her ex-husband, Ned, had already followed her trail after seeing her leave the Hollow Pack territory. Revenge burned inside him as he tracked her all the way to the Lycan Academy. Lynn’s frightening smile faded as she said, “That’s enough!” Yvonne was angered and aggrieved. “Don’t look for me anymore!” Lynn smirked mockingly and said, “My phone number is still the same. Ask someone to hand the car and relay any information over to me. That’s all you need to do!” After speaking, Lynn turned around and walked away. She had lost her family, gotten raped, and suffered a miscarriage. She wanted Lily and Howard to pay a painful price for everything that had happened to her!

Chase said with some worry, watching Otto and Lynn already fighting. At this moment, he noticed that Otto seemed to have almost completely cleared the poison from his system, and Lynn was struggling to hold on. "Hmph, you're lucky this time. Next time, I'll definitely take your miserable life!" Seeing that Otto had dispelled the poison she had administered and had the mountain protection array's assistance, plus his realm was considerably higher than hers, Lynn knew that continuing the fight would likely end in defeat. After throwing out a harsh threat, she led her generals in a teleportation escape.

Guess the battle line was drawn. "What the hell are you waiting for, get her already!" Olivia screamed. She had a crazy look in her eyes as she squeezed up her face and stared at me. Unlike my twelve attackers, she and Rylee were standing a little distance away, watching what was happening. I wished she was closer, if I could get to her, I would be satisfied. 'Silly girl, look at the type of messed up situation that you got us into. I tried to warn you, to talk common sense into your thick skull but as usual, you ignored me, now look, look!'
