Julie fully understood her sister’s feelings but could do nothing except try to calm her down. Julie fell silent, recalling something: "monsters." Yes, Elizah screamed "monsters," meaning there was more than one perpetrator. "Monsters. What do you mean by monsters? Did you feel there was more than one person?"

I looked up and my stomach dropped. Aziel Nightbane. The monster himself. His golden eyes burned down at me with pure hate. Up close he smelled like blood and smoke and something darker that made my wolf stir. “Who are you running from boy?” he growled. His voice was low and rough like gravel under boots. His grip tightened on my arm hard enough to bruise. I gasped for air and forced words out even though my throat felt tight. “Please. I am nothing. Just a slave omega. Let me go and I will disappear. You will never see me again I swear it.”

One of the Outlaws which seems to be the leader showed an insignia on his body, the insignia looks like a snake eating its own tail. Apparently, if someone becomes an Outlaw then the monsters won't target them as much as they target the one who still has Mother Eve's blessing, and with that insignia, they can tell a simple order to the monsters and they will obey it. They have a giant monster with them that looks like a green lizard but it has 4 legs and 2 hands it also has a third eye on its forehead. The Outlaws wanted to **** Riche and take her hostage against the Kingdom, so they ordered the Lizard to just injure her.

She then had them bring her to the monster. 'D*mn it! Do I really look terrifying?' Darryl was speechless when he saw the mountain people run away once again.

“When did this happen?” “I’m not sure. My sense of time has been pretty messed up. If you tell me what’s been happening, maybe I can give you a few answers.” There was an exchange of looks, then Telma took a deep breath. “Three days ago there was a large explosion in Monsterland. A giant cloud could be seen from as far as Fengarad and Dargot. It was followed by a huge exodus of monsters. They came streaming across the border and quickly overran Fengarad. Dargot is already besieged and won’t hold out much longer.”

Then Lily shouted: "THOMAS!" But he didn't stop. Couldn't stop. Because his father was falling. The tower was dying. And time had run out. Then another section collapsed. Samuel nearly lost his footing. For one terrible second— he slipped. Everyone screamed. Then he caught himself. Barely. Then the monster laughed. The sound rolled across the entire island. It knew. It's hard for humans to take down one monster, but Megan had taken each type of monster all over for this fight.
