A long pause and cried. “Okay, okay.” I said and carried him out of the crib. “You hungry little bud?” I pulled out a bottle stored in a warmer inside the room full of breast milk and sat on the rocking chair. He closed his mouth and latched his tiny mouth, drinking until the bottle was empty before I burped him. I gave him a little water and dropped him in the crib so I could start the baby’s morning routine. This was going to be an everyday routine. It took me an hour to get everything ready before I could start making breakfast. Niko was in the cot where I could monitor him.

On the second floor, a group of children surrounded the crib to watch Bai Yiyi as she slept soundly. All newborn babies less than a month old did nothing much besides eating and sleeping. Bai Yiyi was no exception.

I bobbed her gently in my arms as I fed her. “Babies need two or three night feedings,” I said. “Then maybe a diaper change. But always a burping after each feeding. They need more food than you or I because they’re growing so fast. They also won’t sleep a full eight hours but in spurts of three or four throughout the day. It won’t be until she’s a year or so old that she can sleep most of the night.”

She took Dale over from him and said, “It’s because you don’t know how to hug him. Come, let me show you.” She took Dale over, and soon, he stopped crying after she comforted him. “For babies below three months, you need to hug them horizontally by using one hand to hold their heads and necks while using the other to support their hips. This is because they're still small and fragile. If you hold them in the wrong position, it might impede their growth.” Colton scratched his head. “Really?” His daughter had grown up, so he was used to holding her vertically.

Forget about future issues: would he accept it if they were to tell him his Mommy was without child? It was a first for Charmie to experience such a complex situation. Anthony hesitated for a moment. He paused for a while before hanging his suit on the coat hanger. He walked toward them. “She’s still very small now, and she’ll only start growing in a month. Momo needs to read more into science, or the other kids will make fun of you.” “Ah… One month?” Chris was confused. Charmine affectionately rubbed his little head and added, “Your Daddy is right—the baby hasn’t even started growing yet. We only start interacting with the baby after three months, and this is common knowledge.”

A moon blessed Princess. “Hello Lex…” Lance smiles at his son, holding him to his chest. “He’s so tiny!” He traces his thumb around the back of his head. “They are early.” Brennan smiles as he starts to busy himself in preparing for baby number two. “Do you feel strong enough to feed him?” Brennan looks to me as he rips open some kind of sterile medical instruments. “Yes, I will try.” Brennan slowly takes Lex off Lance and places him on my chest. Before I know it Lex is trying to latch on and with an initial slightly painful motion, he is already feeding off me.

I know what he is doing is important but this is something no parent should have to miss out on. I sigh as the doctor and Dorothy walk in. "Momma is awake! How are you feeling?" The doctor started. The doctor went on for about 30 minutes or so. Dorothy stayed behind to help me start breastfeeding them. "I'm going to warn you. These boys are going to grow quick. They will hit all the milestones they usually will but at an accelerated rate. It's normal for bear shifters but it's like on steroids because of the Beta blood. You breastfeeding may only last a few months but we can do this as long as possible." She explained.

Our baby is getting stronger though and can be taken out of the incubation and fed because she can breath room air is learning feeding in the mouth which my sister sometimes helps with because my mom is sometimes busy because she had been pumping some breast milk from Veah and sometimes gets me to do it so she won't have any problems when she wakes up and of course I most times put her on her mom's chest so they can bond and she can have the skin to skin to help her grow and I know it's helping Veah back to us. I love that she is comfortable in my touch because at first she would cry for no reason after getting her diapper changed and being fed and one day I just layed her on her mom's chest

Harper nodded, “If you have them at seven months, they will be small, but they should be fine. Eight months would be preferable.” When Dr. Harper left, I smiled, “Looks like it’s time to start getting the nurseries ready.”
