Contract Marriage with the Disabled Billionaire

Contract Marriage with the Disabled Billionaire

And even when they hadn’t… I no longer let them land. I had too much peace in me now. There wasn’t room for shame anymore. Back at the house, I carried the books Darren had ordered for the nursery upstairs and placed them on the newly assembled shelf. They were all hardcovers with soft pastel covers and gold-stamped lettering: Goodnight Moon, The Velveteen Rabbit, Where the Wild Things Are, Dream Big, Little One, I Am Enough. I traced the spine of each book with my fingertip, whispering the titles softly.

Billionaire Contract Marriage: Her Quest

Billionaire Contract Marriage: Her Quest

Sophia's POV Isabella turned eighteen months old on a Friday. Not a milestone anyone celebrated officially. No party. No cake. Just another month in the steady march toward two. But eighteen months felt significant. She was talking now. Real sentences. "Mama, juice please." "Dada, read book." "No want nap." That last one was her favorite. "She's so verbal," Maria observed, watching Isabella lecture her stuffed elephant about proper sitting behavior. "Most eighteen-month-olds have maybe twenty words. She has at least fifty."

Raven's Waking Dream

Raven's Waking Dream

I smile while grabbing the story book and open it seeing that it looks like Mummo’s book or at least the illustrations do. “I thought you might like this on, it reminds me of the stories Mummo used to tell us,” Raven shrugs her shoulders and points to the back showing it has a lot of short stories with illustrations. “It’s perfect, what else should I get?” I question while looking around after Rebecca comes over and grabs the clothes I picked out. “I would wait for things for the baby till we can start a nursery. Have you been sleeping comfortably; one book mentioned a belly pillow?” Raven questions while looking around then at the pages of a books she has in hand making me shake my head.

The Billionaire's Private Arrangement

The Billionaire's Private Arrangement

“He’s trying to figure out why grown adults find shaking toys so fascinating.” Carmen wiggled the rattle again. “Because we’re fascinating.” Jayden let out a small gurgling sound, his arms flailing slightly as he kicked his legs. Evelyn leaned forward instinctively, steadying him. “Easy, little man.” She reached for one of the cloth books lying beside them and opened it, turning the pages slowly so Jayden could see the contrasting colors, animals, shapes and big, exaggerated faces designed to stimulate developing eyes. “Once upon a time,” she read softly, not because Jayden understood the words, but because he recognized her voice. “There was a very brave baby lion…”

The Vampire's Kiss Goodnight

The Vampire's Kiss Goodnight

He purred and then curled up to her, closing his eyes happily as he smelled her. "Hey sweetie, I was just reading to your brothers and sister." I watched as she rubbed her tummy. I walked up and looked at the three year old looking boy and four year old looking girl. I sat down next to my mommy and looked towards the book she was reading to them, finding it to have a picture of a bear on the front with letters, but I couldn't read it. The boy started to gnaw on his hands and whimpered before he rolled over onto his tummy and started to crawl away towards a couch and slipped under it. The girl watched him then squealed before she started to play with her toes, falling over onto her side then

Loving Mr. Vance in Silence

Loving Mr. Vance in Silence

A collection of classic children's books from Rachel — Goodnight Moon, Where the Wild Things Are, The Very Hungry Caterpillar. "These were my favorites," Rachel said quietly. Emma hugged her. "She's going to love them." Rachel pulled back. "I hope so." "She will. Because they're from you." --- At 3:00 PM, Emma sat down to rest. Her feet were swollen. Her back ached. The baby was kicking — not hard, but insistent, like she was trying to tell Emma something. "You're doing too much," Nick said, sitting beside her. "I'm sitting."

The Alpha Professor and His Mate

They would sit together in their cozy reading nook, surrounded by shelves filled with books of all kinds, their pages worn from countless readings. Lucas, with his bright eyes and insatiable curiosity, would eagerly flip through the pages, absorbing the words and illustrations with an intensity that far surpassed his tender age. Although he was just a few months over a year old, she admired his thirst for knowledge and encouraged his inquisitive nature and together they would embark on intellectual journeys exploring the realms of science, history, and fantasy hidden within book pages. He would often ask questions that seemed beyond his years, his mind hungry for answers and understanding an

Patricia with dinner prep by enthusiastically mixing a bowl of flour and water that had no purpose except keeping her occupied. “She’s covered in flour,” he observed. “She’s happy. Leesa's Advent

Leesa's Advent

“You bet. That baby set me back three hundred big ones. Ralin’s not getting anywhere near it—at least not until we know how lethal he is.” The object of their discussion sat at the table across the room, engaged in a rare moment of quiet leafing through a picture book his grandmother had given him. The book was filled with colorful illustrations of magical creatures like dragons and unicorns, as well as wizards and warriors. Looking at the book was one of the few stationary activities capable of holding Ralin’s attention for more than five or ten minutes. Leesa supposed the book provided as good an early education into the world of magic as could be expected for a toddler. Now it was time to

The Day She Stopped Waiting

The Day She Stopped Waiting

Fair. Apparently being a baby wasn't a valid excuse. Reasonable honestly. Several minutes later she disappeared. God. Then returned carrying an alphabet book. Fair. A very large alphabet book. Reasonable. The kind usually intended for children who could sit upright. God. Not babies who occasionally sneezed at random. Fair. Then Lily sat directly in front of Peanut. Reasonable. Opened the book. God. And school began. Fair. "A." Reasonable. Peanut stared. God.

10 chapters in and I hope it’s second chance book. I love a good “leaving my shitty husband for a better man” plot but sometimes I love a good “I need to get my wife back” plot as well. Sometimes I want to read about how a relationship was pulled back from the brink and I feel this is goi to be it.
