Marc was still pissed off. Seriously, the woman he paid had completely underestimated him. The nerve! He was fuming. He had just finished cleaning himself up when he heard his phone ring. With a heavy sigh, he picked it up, already annoyed. "Yeah, it’s me," he said gruffly. "Why are you calling again? Did you catch that guy already?"

Halle sobbed, "One hundred and sixty dollars." Maria took a deep breath, angrily clenched her fists, gritted her teeth and said: "I can't help you, hope you keep your promise, don't call me back." I roll my eyes when I see five from Fred and seven from Grace’s school and the rest from Mara. Shit. What the fuck is going on? I press the call back to Mara, but it goes straight to voice mail. Shit. I called the school and no one answered. Of course, no one answers because the school is already closed. Panic rises in my heart as I keep calling Mara and it keeps going to voice mail. I regret not allowing Grace to take her phone to school now. Shit.
