Sprinting toward the bus, he called over his shoulder, "You’re too young to understand matters of the heart." Maybe he was right. I was only ten. My espresso brown curls, thick and wavy, were always half-done, tied back in a frizzy ponytail. My skin, a rich, warm dark-brown, held the remnants of a childhood spent playing under the sun, though I never played as much as I wanted to. I was small for my age, but my spirit never was. So I ran after him. "That might be true," I shouted. "But when I’m old enough, will you help me understand?"

Mom is one of the most famous reporters in the country. She exposes all kinds of wrongdoing, and the public hails her as a champion of justice. What she doesn't know is that while she's out fighting for other people, I'm being viciously bullied at school. When I finally work up the courage to ask her for help, she gives me a disgusted look and tells me to quit being so dramatic. Eventually, my bullies beat me to death and bury my body in a reeking drainage ditch. When my body is finally dug up, Mom is the reporter sent to cover the scene.

Rue’s tears streamed down her face. Her son had grown into a man. Her son was accomplished. He was regarded as a hero by all the citizens. Rue cried hysterically and Adrian’s child-like voice from his younger days reverberated in her ears. She still remembered how Henry had asked Adrian when he was very young, “Adrian, what do you want to be when you grow up?” He answered, “I want to be a hero who protects the world!” Rue cried when she recalled that memory. Adrian was right about becoming a hero. He was now an unparalleled, all-powerful hero, just as he said would be when he was young.

I stare at his cute little eyes. "Yes ma'am," he tightened his hold on his ball. "By the way, what is your name?" he was hesitant to respond at first. So I waited for him to introduce himself. "Ahm, me. Well, my name is Hero. Call me Hero. I am six years old," he said and run away from me. It seems my whole world stopped as I heard his name. "Hero," I uttered the name silently. I think I heard that name before. But, I don't remember where. "Hero," I like to say the name over and over again.

Jeremy said confident but Dr Ashton laughed hard. "What's so funny?" Jeremy couldn't help asking. "I was thinking you'd say join the fire department but isn't suddenly wanting to become a superhero just because you have superpowers a little too rash? Being a superhero is no easy job,if you watch your cartoons properly, you'll notice they actually have to train and master their powers. If you don't, you'll most likely end up either hurting yourself, your loved ones or you'll be exposed." Dr Ashton explained and Jeremy thought about it. "But I want to put my powers into good use,I'll train if that's what it takes." He sounded really determined.

"Even though she helped new find half the things in the first place!" Declan breathed a sigh in relief. "Because all of us, you especially, are young. You're not even eighteen yet, Milo." Declan closed his eyes and rubbed his temples. Damn it. "You're a minor." "Yeah?" Milo challenged. "So what? The mafias sure as hell don't seem to care."

Hell, you had school and your career mapped out by the time you were 16 and made every bit of it happen along the way. So short answer is no, I don’t think its crazy. [Nowo’s POV] It all started at that magical place called HIA. It is an agency-slash-orphanage, where all orphans are allowed to work for their own living when they reach the legal age of 18. They were taking care of neglected children by adopting them, providing their needs, and by showing them the real love of a parent they were all longing for. To share and bring fun is what the HIA aims for. I know, right? It is indeed amazing to have met such a great place like this. Also, I’m really thankful to have met the most naughty and a little bit nice best buddy of mine. Omo, I really do miss him a lot.

"Because, they tried to bully a four year old boy who was all alone. Umm... how many of them were there?" "Eight." "See. Eight big ten year old boys and one four year old Joshua. Unfair right?" He nodded. "So... when my Joshua will grow up he will be able to fight all of them, alone. Like... Umm... Yes like Kid Danger." A bright smile plastered on his face. He smiled. Then hugged me. I explained rationally. Hunter stepped in front of me, his eyes flaring with determination. Oh, boy. “It’s my choice. I told mom and dad that I wanted to train with you. I just…want to be like you when I grow up. You’re so strong and smart…like a superhero,” he was blushing now. I smiled softly, down at the little boy. I was really growing fond of him, it was surprising. So innocent and sweet. But his words held a flaw. He portrays me as some hero, someone great and all mighty, when I’m just a runaway, trying to survive.
