The spotlight shifted, and soon Racheal and Ariella entered the hall. I was momentarily breathless as I caught sight of Racheal. It was clear she wasn’t wearing a bra, and the glimmering crystals adorning the gown highlighted her hips beautifully. She returned with two dresses. “If you want everyone to flock around you, this is the dress.” She said, raising a light blue dress. “If you want them to be in awe and keep their distance”, she raised a darker shade of blue.

Adara said emotionally. “That’s not all dear, I also kept your mother’s wedding dress, glad I did now!” Claire smoothed her dress down and tried to keep her emotions in check. “My mother’s dress …” Adara had new tears threatening to spill over her eyelids as she watched Claire. Claire took the dress from the bed and unzipped the protective cover. Adara gasped. It was a beautiful off-white mermaid style dress with a scooped neck and a tulle train with beading down to the hem. The see-through long sleeves and upper bodice were embroidered too. The back of the dress had buttons and was also embroidered. It was the most beautiful dress Adara had ever seen.

ANGELA’S POV The next day arrived in a rush of fashion, frayed nerves, and hopeful hearts. Rainey helped pick out the dress. Mine was a soft cream halter gown, clinging to my curves then loosening around the legs like water taking shape. Rainey’s dress was forest green, the color playing up her auburn curls until they looked almost like flames in the morning light. We wore matching floral bracelets. A beautiful blue sapphire long tail dress was hung in the transparent glass, lights were focused on the dress to highlight the beauty.
