The walls started closing in on me, and nothing could ease my pain as I tried to fight whatever it was. My eyes widened in shock as the coughs just didn't stop. It was almost like something else had triggered it. Something unnatural. Out of this realm. Goosebumps erupted all over me, and like an invisible whiplash on my heart, another pain hit my chest. The effect became unbearable. My whole body descended into blinding pain. Supernatural pain that felt contorted. The sort that targeted my very soul—the very place I buried my past. My mother. Within a blink, memories of my mother filled my mind.
