A third: Hero Dies, System Survives—me throwing myself into some code‑storm while Corvin was dragged back into bound service, Selene re‑crowned, Jax promoted to handler.

I took off my clothes and just left my undergarments on me. I was swimming with the cold water when I felt a weird presence just nearby. I resrufaced and looked around. There wasn't a single shadow. When I saw Lane coming close, I thought he was the presence that I caught but just behind him, I saw a Warrior Witch positioning to shoot him. My body felt colder than the water. I quickly swam back and screamed to warn Lane but it was too late. Before he could turn around to see what I meant, the Warrior Witch shot him. The shot was too strong that his body flew and landed on the water.

'' I got up from the chair and started to look for the exit of this fucking looking labyrinth mansion. ''Do you want me to show you where the exit is?'' Aaron says with a sarcastic voice. I turn and glare at him, tears still running down my cheeks. As soon as Aaron saw my face, regret formed on his face. I got out of the kitchen, and I could hear Aiden calling my name. I didn't care. He turned and ran to his kitchen. The room remained silent. No one bothered to utter a word. Soon, he came back with the knife in his hand. Zero extended his hand with a smirk. "Go ahead," he said. "Let's see this miracle." My grip tightened around the knife. Taking a steadying breath, I drew the blade across his palm. The room erupted in noise. People started screaming at me, and Zero let out a muffled scream. “I told you she's crazy. How could this be the one who would save us from Clayton?”
