--- Marcel spun a pen around his fingers idly, staring at the writhing young man on his knees before the judgment throne. Yes, there was a judgment throne in the heart of the Judgment Hall where cases were brought to him for his verdict—cases such as this. Rowan was his name: blonde-haired and not so muscular. He wasn't what Marcel would pass for a guard, but he had gone through the training and came out successful, so he was appointed as a member of the patrol. However, yesterday he was caught shirking his duties when the man in charge of those on patrol did the head count. He was nowhere to be found.

He was dressed simply, his presence unassuming, but his eyes carried a weight that immediately put Lionel on edge. “Hello again Lionel,” the man said, taking a seat across from him. Lionel studied him, his brow furrowed. “Alright Marshall, let’s finish this.” Marshall chuckled. “ok, you have a good observation, by the way. But I know more about your kind than you’d think.” “When did you start?” Lionel asked, leaning forward. “since I was 21 years old,” Marshall said bluntly. “I’ve been tracking werewolves for years. And I’ve seen the damage your kind can do when left unchecked. Axel is just one example.”

They looked long, sharp and as if they could cut through anything. Marshall separated his legs and gave a loud roar that echoed loudly and shook the ground of the pack house.

Zayne Marshall was a twelfth grader like me. He had few friends, actually just two friends, the twins, Jayson and Jayden. Surprisingly, he had good grades and was one of the top students not only in Hilltop High School but also throughout the state. He was bad tempered as well, and people avoided crossing his paths, even the teachers. His father, Henry Marshall was one of the most powerful werewolf in the state. He also had a cousin who he was quite close to.

All these years, he had been fighting, racing, playing extreme sports, and doing all kinds of absurd things. Since the Preston family would clear up the mess, Marshall dared to do anything.

I growled. "Fine. I hated the Mystic Wolves. From the core of my heart," Marshall shouted. "I wanted my pack to be the most powerful pack, but I wasn't. They were. Worthington held out his hand, that’s been holding a phone and Zach heard Alex cursed when they noted that it is on a call. “I knew that man’s going to betray me,” Alex said out loud, making sure that whoever Marshall is to her, will be able to hear. “He always has been an a$$hole!” “Get over it, Walters,” Marshall’s voice came at the other end. His tone shows that he is used to Alex’s outbursts and insults. “As you said, we need to move quickly. I agree with Worthington.” Zach felt some triumph when he saw Alex’s expression darkened.

I growled with a giggle. Marcus, Norm, and Lexi all laughed. Molly, Melissa, and I couldn’t help, but join in. We did sound ridiculous. “Chastity, Lexi, I want to hear all about your week!” Norm requested with a bounce. Lexi, and I proceeded to tell them everything we did that week. Molly, and Melissa added things in as well. Norm, and Marcus listened intently the whole time. Norm did ask a few questions, and laughed at Lexi’s story about her, Colby, and the dunk tank.
