Zelda's voice whispered through our mind link as she squatted before me, setting the tray down and lifting the cup. "Please, take it," she begged, her voice a soft plea. "I can't, this reeks of wolfsbane, James," I retorted, my gaze piercing through him as he stood near the entrance. "Drink it, you imbecile, unless you want to see your precious mate suffer," James threatened, well aware of my powerlessness within the confines of this wretched dungeon. My fingers brushed against Zelda's as I controlled the cup to my lips, ready to comply, but James's next words halted my action.

I pulled my safe and grabbed my iPad immediately, opening up the tracking app and it didn't take long to find the sole jewellery set that wasn't sitting in Caily's closet. "Peaches."

She jokes and I sense her anxiety but decided not to let her know and just smile at her. “With the power and faith entrusted to me, I present you, Pandora.” Selene announces raising her hands to the night sky and everyone cheers. The dome that raised when the ritual began was coming down in little snowflakes of light. I was amazed at everything around me. It was like I had another way to see life.

Drake The door flung open, and I shifted my gaze towards the door and standing before me was Jake who was smiling, but his countenance changed to that of worry when he noticed the distress etched on my face. “What's going on?” he asked, his brow furrowed with concern. I looked up at him, my eyes filling with pain. “I can't connect to Zelda,” I said, my voice cracking. “I'm afraid my pack and the Palace might be in danger.”

The two dragons glided along for a few hours before Slate began to descend over a field in the territory of a kingdom closer to his own lair and far enough away from Beelzanborg that the soldiers who were clearly rallying to come after the Heart of Magic couldn’t reach them--yet. He touched down in a field of golden wheat, catching the sunbeams and sparkling like each stalk was made of a precious metal.

They were exactly the same, he suddenly leaned close to her ear, whispering. “So, do you want to eat me tonight?”

**** Zelda I was working on my sketches as I sipped water slowly, trying to cool off, while Jian stretched her legs and scrolled through her phone, clearly enjoying herself. “Zelda, you really have the ‘hot search physique,’ don’t you?” she teased. “You’re trending again. Netizens are saying you and Fu Xavier are a perfect match! ‘Unruly bad boy racer x cool and beautiful schoolgirl’—I mean, come on, this is top-tier storytelling!” I raised an eyebrow at her. She was far too entertained by the spectacle. Last night, we’d gone to watch Xavier's race together, and I’d only spoken to him briefly. We watched as the shiny gold teardrop pendant vanished into the darkness, a satisfying plop as it hit the water at the bottom. Sighing I looked up into the branches, an assortment of plums, apples and pears ripe and ready for picking hung. Except the pears all had a strange sheen. I grabbed one to inspect and it fell to rotten mush in my hand. I tried an apple and a plum. They remained juice and plump, the same as they had for almost twenty years. “All the pears have been rotten since your parents died,” Zeka grumbled behind me. His topknot untied, long brown hair hung down past his shoulders. “Some people are suggesting it is the Moon Goddess not having faith in Cillian.”
