PASCAL Immediately Tahlia and Grinda left his building, Joan rushed out of her hiding place, she had been hiding all along in one of the enormous shelves in the parlour. The two were having a cruel discussion about how to destroy Tahlia and Grinda when they suddenly showed up in front of his door. “Don’t tell me that show of absolute falsehood has gotten to you so fast?” Joan inquired in irritation, glaring angrily at the beaming pascal. Pascal shook his head slowly in uncertainty, at this point he didn’t know what to think. He knew the girls were using him to have their own fun but he also knew they weren’t as evil as joan.

A man, wearing only a singlet, swaggered toward us, and three others followed him out of the doorway. That was when I finally stepped from the car. He was talking to Chris, but as soon as his eyes landed on me, he widened in shock and blurted, “Motherfucker! Chris, where the hell did you get a girl like this?” A thin smile tugged at the corner of my mouth as his gaze lingered shamelessly, ignoring Chris who stood right beside him. Before I could guess what he intended, he stepped closer with a lecherous grin, his arm outstretched. “Hello pretty, everyone calls me Pascal, but you can call me husband.”

“I never even told him how much that meant to me.” Pascal sat heavily beside her, staring at Damon’s face as if memorizing every line. “He walked into death without blinking,” Pascal said softly. “Not for glory. Not for power. For her. For his child. For people who had nothing left to give him.” His face hardened again. “That kind of courage doesn’t die easily.” The old blind seer listened in silence, her head tilted slightly, as if hearing something they couldn't in their words. Finally, she spoke.

Pedro's POV. I stood by the floor-to-ceiling glass window of my home office, phone pressed tightly to my ear, fury boiling in my veins. “Mr. Pascal. What the hell do you mean my shipment hasn't arrived yet?" There was a sudden knock on the door. "Come in!" I barked, not taking my eyes off the city skyline. "Don't worry, Mr. Pascal. I'll get to the bottom of this," I said sharply before ending the call.

“Be honest with me. There’s not gonna be any... Moguel people there, right?” Pascha tilted his head, considering the question, then stepped closer and sat on the edge of the bed. “No,” he said. “Ignacio’s not tied to your father’s network. He’s smart enough to keep his distance. And not dumb enough to mix his business with Moguel family politics.” I held his gaze, searching for any sign of a lie. Or even a flicker of doubt. But all I saw was the same unreadable expression I’d grown used to. I let out a slow breath. “Okay.”

There is no world where I let Alpha Reynaldo touch me. "Has the healer seen you yet?" he asks. I shake my head. "Nobody tells me anything." Pascual pulls out a chair and sits across from me. He does not look like a brother. He looks like a judge. I set my glass down because the water will not go down anyway. I can see it in his eyes. He is not here to be a hero. He is not here to save his little sister. He is here because he has an investment to protect, and that investment is his own rank.

Behind the counter sat two officers in slightly rumpled uniforms, one was older, with graying hair and a thick mustache and the other was younger, thinner, scrolling absently through his phone. I opened my mouth to speak when I noticed someone else who was talking to the older police man. I recognised that clothes and hairstyle. Pascal. My entire body went rigid, ice flooding through my veins. No. No, no, no… Pascal was gesturing, describing something to the older officer, his hands moving to indicate height, build, features. "Ella es alta," Pascal was saying. "Pelo corto. Ojos oscuros. Probablemente cubierta de tierra. Secuestró a mi hermana. Es peligrosa."

He was a man who never smiled and never spoke unless he had to. Pascal stood there like a mountain, his arms crossed over his chest. His eyes were cold and empty. "What are you doing?" Selene shouted, trying to act like she was still the lady of the house. "How dare you touch my car! Move out of my way, Pascal! I have an emergency! I need to see my father!" Pascal didn't move an inch. He didn't look scared of her at all. In fact, he looked at her like she was a bug he was about to crush.
