Author's POV Patrick couldn't believe his eyes, he remembered uncle Gab had mentioned to him that Tom would be trialed for the offence he committed against Ariel. His heart thumped loudly as he forfeited what he intended to do in the kitchen. Heading back up the stairs, he smiled awkwardly at the help as she went back down. Crouching low, he hid himself next to the tall flower vase near the study. Luckily the door wasn't totally closed. Peeping through the door, Patrick affirmed the person he had seen was indeed Tom.

I walked into work with my extra bag and suddenly felt nervous that I’d be seeing Tom today. It had only been four days, but it felt a lot longer. *ping* “You look beautiful today, trust you slept well?” I looked around, but couldn’t see Tom anywhere.
