"I saw you walking past the window." She looked at the bar that I had just come from. Of course it didn't look good that I was in a bar at 4 in the afternoon. If her opinion of me wasn't bad enough already. "How is Penelope?"I asked. "She's good.. Um she's with my Mom right now, I just finished up at the hotel."She tucked a lock of hair behind her ear and looked at Carmen. "Did Brent call you?"Carmen asked, trying to brake the awkward tension between us."He mentioned that he was going to give you a call about his Bachelor party."

' Without listening to another word Argos says, I watch the woman who is setting a tray of sweet tea on the table and standing behind the Alpha. 'Mate.' Argos cries. Whining like a day old pup, but I don't blame him. She is drop dead gorgeous. But there is something that is holding me back from going to her. Alastar sees how I am looking at the woman behind him and realization hits him in the face. "I apologize for the intrusion, gentlemen. Estelle wanted to make sure we weren't thirsty. This is my chosen mate, Estelle Wyatt. Say hello dear." He says, pulling her by her hand, a little too firm for my liking.

I wanted to help him, get him free from Estelle’s spell, but I was busy trying to bring Estelle down. She was strong, I will admit, but not stronger than me. My mind went back to the training Isa and Jocelyn gave to me, and before I could tell what was happening, my lips were moving saying words I didn’t know the meaning.

She’d clearly just thrown on whatever was closest and run out the door. But the second she walked into the room everything in me went quiet. She didn’t look at me. She didn’t acknowledge me at all. She just went straight to Lucas and his whole body relaxed the moment he saw her, his crying tapering off into hiccups.

Looking up, his face was white as he stared at the stage. “Vale…that’s…” Zeke’s eyes slowly turned to look at mine. I smiled. “Isn’t she incredible? Her name is Estel Storm. We met her after when Peter tried to ask her out. Shes…well…she’s the most power fey I think I have ever come across. Naresh and I would pinned by her power but her voice is other-worldly.” My voice was barely above a whisper as I explained.

You wouldn’t end your life because of Maeve so I know you too well to be manipulated by your theatrics,” Her cheeks heated up with embarrassment. “I fucking hate you…Riordan,” “It is my pleasure. Goodnight baby,” Estelle was unrelenting, following me all the way to the west wing until my ears almost bled with her pleas. Exasperated, I swung my head to her. “What do you want!” “For you to release those people. Chris, Merida, and the rest,” she cried. Oh Goddess. I removed my shirt. “Get in the bathtub with me,”

He remembered the dead look in Estelle's eyes when she left, that look of absolute desolation. Maybe she did hate him, but he couldn't let her carry that hate for the rest of her life. Marcus answered cautiously, "Alpha, according to our intel, Estelle and her family have fully integrated into the Silver Creek Pack." "I have to find her." "Alpha, that's impossible," Marcus said, shaking his head. "Alpha Liam has granted them the highest level of protection. No outsider can get near her."

Theo’s smile faltered; Damon tilted his head, curiosity—or recognition—flashing across his face. Heat curled low in her stomach, sharp and unfamiliar. She blinked, and the chandelier above her flickered, one flame flaring high enough to make someone gasp. “Whoa,” Perse whispered. “Did you just—?” “I didn’t do anything,” Layla said quickly, but her pulse drummed a different truth.
