THIRD PERSON POV: The seven big cars raced down the highway. Engines roared loud. The sun was going down, making the sky orange and pink. Jake sat in the back, staring out the window. He didn't talk at all. Darius drove the lead car, keeping his expression cold. Lisa sat next to him, her hands shaking a little. She tried not to show it. Kael and Donald were in the back with Jake. Lisa thought about what happened at the Moonclaw house. Jake joining them made everything worse. More men. More anger. She wanted to run away, but where? Darius's eyes always found her.

She hands the ticket to Bo and sends him on his way, as I put my arm over her and head to the concession stand. As we get to the counter, we are face to face with that clown from the grocery store.

I still didn't understand what she was trying to say. Three months ago, i–or we in particular, got a video from an anonymous sender. It was a partially blurred video of a place in Golden City, called Mount Olympia. It had a slight description written : 'Mount Olympia, Home of gods on Earth, House of Zeus. I definitely wanted to ignore the video, since I couldn't believe a mansion on a mountain was home to gods, most especially, Zeus. But, Zara insisted we upload it, to be sure of it's source, and how legit it was.

Jessa POV I wasn’t going to cry. I wasn’t going to cry. My hands clenched, my breathing coming in quick gasps as I fought to control my emotions. I’d come near the dark woods a few times before. The spirits that lived here were twisted, ugly creatures that fed on strong emotion. They scared people just to devour their screams. I’d seen it before, when the spirits in the forest told me about a cruel prank the middle school students had played on an Omega. I’d arrived just in time to see a dark spirit with glowing red eyes start to drag the girl into the dark woods.

The silence, as our eyes shifted from her retreating figure back to the message, lasted for as long as it took Maya, looming unnoticed behind us, to formulate the perfect accent to the revelation occurring. “‘One plus one equals three’ . . . You are the third, then! We could only hope.”

I texted and then thought of the question he would ask next. “How would I know if things are going badly?” He texted back. I rolled my eyes in irritation. What a very predictable idiot! “We have a mind link. We are were-triplets remember?” I texted back. “Oh right. I forgot, sorry.” Dorian texted back. I resisted the urge to roll my eyes in irritation. I was about to text him something back when Lucian called from in front of me. “Hey, if you are done playing around with your phone do you think you can maybe help me find the Shiraya. You know the priestess slash witch that we came here looking for?” Lucian said mockingly with irritation written all over his face.

Felix walked protectively by my side. Surprisingly there was something familiar about the person who was sitting with his back towards me. My feet felt wobbly the instant I got to the table. “Good afternoon, Mr…” To my uttermost shock, I recognized the sleek black hair and his domineering aura almost brought me to my knees. I gulped silently while my grip tightened around my bag. Kian stood up abruptly but then his expression darkened the moment his gaze rested on Felix. “Good afternoon Miss Debby, I was not informed there would be a third party.” Kian’s deep baritone resonated in my ears.

“What’s wrong with them?” A door suddenly opens. Dr. Spencer and Dr. Monroe step out of a room. They both stand behind the silent Lycans. “Traeger. This is a breach of protocol. I suggest you go back to your cells.” Traeger and Dorian stiffen visibly. Traeger moves forward with a menacing look on his face. “We’re not going anywhere, doctor.” Dr. Monroe moves forward. “This is insolence! You will do as you’re told subject, Traeger! Now hand the girl over and go back to your cell! We will not tell you again.” Traeger and Dorian clench their jaws and stand firm. Dr. Monroe sneers evilly. “Very well, Traeger. If this is how it is. You leave us no choice.”
