It was the last train alright, and I didn’t dare think of what would happen to me here if I had to extend my stay. “Lost in my own little world, I failed to decipher the body that had placed himself just right before me. It was his strong cologne that brought me back to reality. The scent of his perfume was so strange, I couldn’t put a picture to it. It was as if it had been mystically made in the lab and for its signature scent to only be recognised by its owners. But it was so STRONG! So strong that I could feel myself suffocating. I drowsily turned to my left to get a picture of the person with the cologne. How could he possibly be okay with wearing that, was he even breathing properly? M

I got up slightly balancing on my shoulders as I reached for the bag. “You’re so goddamned stubborn, Val,” I muttered to myself as I placed the book against the tip of my nose, I could still perceive her scent. I don’t know how to describe it, it was like cinnamon mixed with honey and burnt in lemon. I don’t know, but there was more lemon than cinnamon, her book smells like morning dew after 4 o'clock rain… it was like sunrise. If sunrise ever had a scent, I would say it was Valentina’s.

I felt her arch just a fraction into my touch, her perfume wrapping around me… something expensive and filthy, like jasmine and pure sex. We reached the rare books room, the air thick with the smell of aged paper, polished wood, and now… the faint, sweet musk of two women who were already wet for each other. I pulled the volume from its shelf, handling it carefully, and handed it to her. Our fingers brushed… and stayed. The spark was instant, electric, shooting down my spine and making my cunt throb so hard I had to bite my lip.

But not yet. Thea nodded solemnly, holding out her pinky. “I promise.” We spent the next hour poring over the book together, Thea pointing out anything that caught her eye. Most of it was gibberish to her, to both of us really, but she didn’t seem to mind. She was just happy to be involved. Then, she stopped on a page near the back, her finger tracing a line of text. “What’s this?” I leaned over, squinting at the words. “Looks like it’s a recipe for some kind of perfume,” I said. “Said to mimic pheromones using natural ingredients.”

She was interested in his course, chemistry and how it related to the promise of enhancing perfumes. He asked her what she placed in her perfume that made it seem so simple and yet complex as though it were organic. “…and familiar?” she asked her eyes now transfixed to his. She removed his glasses and reached out to kiss him on the lips. “…familiar?”. She repeated and he could scent the Neroli so near now he was actually breathing it. “Yes.” He could only reply.

"You're disgusting. Making a smell like that into perfume." I threw the bottle at Sharon. "It was Sharon who gave me this bottle of perfume. I've lost my sense of smell. Not many people know about this, but Sharon knew. "She gave me this bottle of weird perfume, telling me how much it suits me. She told me to spray some on myself during the wedding, saying that it was a respect to Rachel. I sprayed some on me, then she sent a message to Rachel saying that I seduced her husband. "My best friend called me a tramp. The next day, Sharon did the same thing again, causing me to lose my job and my boyfriend.

You hated perfumes remember? I still hate perfumes with an unequivocal passion.Perfumes remind me of nothing but the revenge which boils inside me like a pool of lava, but it's not a perfume, it's her scent and I couldn't think straight ever since it had hit me. It has been my personal favorite scent the moment she appeared in front of me.

Like the room I was in earlier, there was also a hallway on the left side, but unlike that dark room, this one was lit, and I could feel the presence of the person who wanted to talk to me. "Hey, wait, girl!" I almost tore the woman's clothes trying to pull her back as she was leaving the room. I was about to leave too when I heard footsteps approaching. I froze when I smelled a scent I hadn't encountered before. It was hard to describe. It had a unique mix of citrusy, spicy, and woody notes. It just screamed hot and elegant. It wasn't harsh at all; in fact, it was utterly addictive. "Why are you always running away?" I swallowed hard when I heard the voice of the man behind me.

He didn’t reply right away but enclosed me in his arms. “Can we now start all over again?” he asked, smiling through his tears. I nodded and smiled. And at that moment, I also sent a quick prayer for Zed that he could also move on and start over. THE END Author's note: Thank you so much for reading Book 1 and 2. In the application I submitted, I'd already answered all these, but maybe it was just standard protocol. I reached into my bag for a pen. I was pretty sure I'd packed a pen but I couldn't find it again. “Where is it? I thought I put it in here,” I whispered as I rummaged through my handbag. “You can borrow mine,” Jeremiah handed a pen to me. “Um, thank you,” I said, a little embarrassed that I forgot to bring something as little as a pen on my first day. “You're welcome.” Just then, the door was pulled open and my heartbeat picked up a bit at the person that walked right through.
