The World Only We Exist

The World Only We Exist

Now, look where the fuck that leads me. One last huff before I begin explaining my dumb ass. “What I mean by that is the bonfire: trees get chopped off and branches get snapped from where they came from. Bitches thought they would stand tall and fly high but their dreams were crushed by them timbering to the ground. And they never know that their next fate is actually to be killed by heartless humans that they helped breathe fresh air. But yeah humans betray wood by using them so they will be kept warm in the morning. Therefore, these poor innocent sticks are dying for our sake.” While I was talking, I’m looking anywhere else but Anya, but I can feel her eyes are just glued to me.

The Damned Alpha

The Damned Alpha

But they squeezed on notwithstanding. At last, the way opened up into a little clearing, the trees shaping a normal boundary against the worst of the storm. Within the center of the clearing was an old tree, its twisted branches coming up toward the sky just like the arms of a few overlooked gods. The tree's bark was dull and weathered, and unusual images were carved into its trunk, gleaming faintly within the obscurity. Ethan and Lena moderated as they drew closer to the tree, both of their impulses detecting that this place was distinctive, it held some sort of power. The air was thick with pressure, the storm's anger appearing to decrease marginally as they ventured into the clearing.

The last Leaf on the tree

The last Leaf on the tree

"Can't really, relate" "Sorry, didn't want to seem pompous" "No, what I meant is I can't boast about anything right now, we're new here and we've still got to get used to this place and 'the people' here" the last part she said out loud "I know what you mean when you say 'the people'" "Really?"

The Withered Tree Blooms Again

The Withered Tree Blooms Again

“Mom, Ethan, don’t be so angry. Why don’t you stay at my place first? “Once Dad and Grandma calm down, everything will be fine. In a little while, it’ll be okay. Don’t worry—I’ll be with you the whole time…” I stood at the doorway, hearing Sophia’s words, and couldn’t help but laugh. She had mastered the art of playing the innocent. If I didn’t know her true nature, I might have been fooled by that fake, sweet façade, too.

Lilith III

Lilith III

“How do you know about that?” Chuckling, I whirled the chair around, facing her direction, “Baby girl, have you stop to think about why everything is so intense since you stepped out of your town?” “No— maybe, a few times I guess,” “Well, evil can't pass through a sanctuary' gate,” “A sanctuary?” “Yes, Evil can not intrude, they have to be invited in,” “Hold on... So the tree?” “Is a plant from the heavens, it's enchanted with powers that form a shield over your hometown,”

The Divine Tree's Blessing

The Divine Tree's Blessing

The concoction seemed to have made me more sensitive as well. My vision turned blurry as my body heated up once more. A deep flush spread across my skin. I clung to the vine that was wrapped across my chest, staring at it with hazy eyes before asking, "Do you like me, divine god of the tree?" The divine tree rustled its branches as if in approval of my question. I threw myself into it. I thought about all the ways the men had described that made the process more pleasurable as I clung to the vines desperately.

The Return of the War Legate

The Return of the War Legate

The Phoenix Tree spoke calmly, "Haha, there’s no need to worry so much, young one. Just focus on fulfilling your purpose." As the tree finished speaking, a few leaves gently trembled and drifted into the void. Adrian’s eyes lit up at the sight, and he eagerly reached out to claim them all. But the Phoenix Tree’s voice returned, warning, "Greed is endless, boy. Do you think you can take all these leaves? Do you believe each is filled with my precious essence?"

Between a Lycan and a Wolf

“So~ Like the king?” He nodded but didn’t elaborate further, “This tree,” He pointed at the Oak tree behind me, “Acts as a portal between the human world and ours. The Dryad spirit resides in it.” He glanced back at me as he brought his hand down, “But it’s strange, I haven’t heard of it ever allowing humans to pass through.” He looked at me, “Although it has helped people in need.” He stared at me for a second and I felt sort of giddy, “Were you perhaps in trouble?”

I only just started reading this yesterday but I'm already 29 chapters in and don't want to put it down. It's a great book so far and a hidden gem. hopefully more people will read it, rate it and review it so others can find it. Well worth the read and much better than many books I've read on here.

I love the second couple! I've always wanted to read something like this. Stripper X Lycan prince! There was a huge difference between the two but I love how you proceeded with the story and how you described their feelings. waiting for more chapters!

Making Past Perfect

Making Past Perfect

She could feel the roots of life intertwined beneath the surface, like ancient rivers coursing through the earth. Pedro watched her, marveling at her tranquility. “What do the trees tell you?” he asked, his voice soft, as if afraid to break the spell. Alice smiled, feeling the connection like a comforting hum beneath her feet. “They tell me their stories. Of sunlit days, of rain that gave them strength. And of waiting, of patience.” Her eyes opened, glancing at Pedro. “The trees remind me that waiting can make us stronger, even if it feels endless.”

Sword of Eryndor

Sword of Eryndor

the toucan told nonchalantly and earned a whimper from my twin. Elderwood added, "A paper for a book. Our thick trunks cut into logs then shredded to thin chips and turned into blank sheets. The blood of our fellow trees inked on those sheets in a pattern I never understood. It is the human language they write on us, piercing us with the sharp tips of their pens like a saw wasn't enough. “What a pity!” Eryonder tried to underscore the Elderwood's emotional connection to its fellow trees and the natural world. He continued listening grasped the Elderwood's perspective, and perhaps reevaluating his own relationship with nature.
