I asked Xander as I snuggled a bit more closer to him. The room was not the same as my room in the mansion or even similar to any other room back in the Knights Mansion. It was actually a canopy bed with black curtains forming a beautiful canopy that had now been tied together at the four corners of the bed each. They were tied with beautiful gold curtain chains lined with small beads and a beautiful tassel hanging around the knot. Black and gold truly looked magnificent. Julian wants to puke instead. "This is your room." One of the men says, leading him to a room at the end of the hallway. Julian looks inside, and for a moment, even he can't deny that it is very beautiful. A large bed sits in the center, covered with soft white sheets. There's a private bathroom, a walk-in closet already filled with clothes, and a balcony overlooking the endless ocean. Everything he could possibly need. Charles descended with Peter to afford us some privacy as he assured us that he would keep Peter amused that we might sleep. The master bedroom was spacious with a king sized bed that appeared so appealing after the horrible hospital bed I had just slept on over the past two nights. There was a sitting area with a couch and chairs towards the windows which looked out to the backyard where I could see trees and open space which would make Peter have a wonderful place to play once everything was settled down. The adjoining bathroom was large with a shower and a large soaking tub that made me consider how nice it would be to have a proper bath as opposed to the sponge baths I had been using sin

The family of the Cranes and the Bennetts were best of friends as of then. "Why didn't you bring Alex along?" Mrs. Parker asked Mrs. Crane who smiled. "Oh! He's at home with his babysitter. You know how he'll turn this place up side down with Peter paraventure we tagged him along? And he's got homework to do" Mrs. Crane said as they all laughed. "Mommy, I wanna sleep" Peter told his mom who took excuse and carried him inside his room and laid him down. She returned to the parlor as they stayed for a while before suggesting to have a sit out since it had been long they had one.

There was something soothing about watching the physical by-product of sleep, the defenselessness of sons slumbering. "They grow fast," he said. Stephanie nodded. “Too fast.” “You made them lean.” She exhaled slowly and deeply. A sound that meant more than just breath. In the bedroom, Peter bended on the bed, undoing his watch, placing it on the nightstand gently. The walls were painted a soft, calming shade, decorated with framed drawings—crayon scribbles and finger paintings that had clearly been deemed worthy of display. As if to punctuate the need, Peter’s stomach gave a loud rumble. “All the breakfast you can eat,” Evelyn promised. “Peter, would you like to press the number nineteen? Then we’ll go to Gimbels and get you some fresh clothes and what you’ll need to stay with your father to the weekend. And after that,” she offered as enticement, “if you’re well-behaved, we shall find something fun to do.” When both little faces lit, Evelyn smiled. “Off to the right,” she directed as the elevator doors opened on the nineteenth floor.
