Pretend Girlfriend
I like my life now, and I want my freedom and everything that comes with it, no responsibilities besides my work and my dog.
“You should seriously try and find a girl to settle down”, Paul says, drinking a sip of his coffee. I narrow my eyes at him and change the subject. “How’s Lilly and the kids?” I ask, and his eyes shine like a bright star. He loves to talk about his kids, and I have to say I love the little bastards. They are both my godchildren.
“They miss you”, he says, and I nod my head at the same time the waitress comes back with our plates, and she smiles, passing me a small piece of paper. I smile, and I see a phone number when I open it.
