I could feel them getting closer, the air around us growing colder. Freya veered left, leading us toward an outcropping of jagged rocks. “Up there!” she shouted. “We might be able to lose them!” We scrambled up the uneven surface, our breaths ragged. Bram was the last to climb, his heavy frame making it harder for him to move swiftly. One of the Phantoms lunged, tendrils reaching for him, but he swung his sword in a wide arc. The blade passed through the creature, dissipating it into mist.

“It'll be fine. I'm sure they're just happy to see me back in country.” He didn't say it like he believed it. He sounded like he was trying to convince me that the apocalypse wouldn't be so bad. That there were going to be perks of a hellfire landscape. I looked down at my shoes, trying very hard not to panic or cry. The last thing I needed was to leave the store with streaky mascara and blotchy skin. “Hey, Zoey.” Freddie's voice was light and friendly. I didn't look up. Suddenly, his face filled my vision. He was down on his knees, looking up at me with a playful smile.

"Holy f*ck!" Phantom felt bad when he saw the youngest child climbing the mango tree by herself. Her four brothers were not in the house. As he ran to see his child, Phantom's eyes widened. "Holy crap! F*ck! Damn!" Phantom cursed again. Their youngest is only three years old, and she appears to have inherited all of her mother's craziness. "Get down, Eri Aiko!" Phantom yelled at his daughter, but she simply raised her eyebrows at him. The child ignored her father and poked her tongue out to further irritate Phantom.

Somehow, Freddy wasn’t that angry, he laughed quietly, it wasn’t a joyous laugh, from the look in his eyes, it was pure evil laughter. “You’re really a strong one for being conscious after receiving Hatake’s nab, it was meant to take you out instantly, but I’m happy you’re still conscious to hear me,” Freddy started, he took out another marijuana from his inner jacket pocket and lighted it up before he continued.

Gideon barked the order, his voice sharp as a blade. A dragon's roar followed, and the sound wave struck straight into Freddie's mind, catching him completely off guard. His vision went black for a split second. But for warriors at their level, a second was enough to decide life and death. Gideon's foot slammed down, landing squarely on Freddie's skull, nearly crushing it. Freddie screamed, blood streaming from his eyes, ears, nose, and mouth. His legs were driven deep into the earth. Freya/Freddie's pov I’m sitting in the locker room, staring at my phone’s black screen, trying to wrap my head around what just happened on the ice.
