Hidden Mate

Hidden Mate

"Should a threat arise, the man must protect and defend the woman. He needs his right hand to get his sword." He stopped walking and stood in front of a huge fence covered with poison ivy leaves. Maxine’s eyes widened as she withdrew her hand from his. "Wait, isn't this...?" she gasped. Chandler just smiled before he parted the leaves in the middle. The secret passageway was opened. "Let's go?" Chandler urged. He held her again and they crossed the passageway together. Bonsai trees lined the perfect lawn, a pond as large as a small lake with flowering lily pads and a wooden bridge that crossed in the middle; this is where Adam brought her during the party!

Married a Secret Billionaire

Married a Secret Billionaire

“Send more people to protect her for the next few days. Be discreet. I don’t want her to know.” “Okay, got it.” “Also…” He squinted. “Unless I’m there, stop anyone from the Hamertons from getting close to her!” At the Hamerton Manor located on Splendor Mountain on the south of Centrolis… It was built along the mountain. Its magnificence and sophistication made it look like an independent kingdom. As the head of the four families, the Hamertons predominated close to half of the country’s economy. Zephyr Hamerton walked down the stairs slowly. The massive living room was lively before. It fell silent suddenly.

I've only read two books on this app. This is the second and by far the best one. The storylines are fluid, the characters are endowed with personality and most importantly the writer makes them come together seamlessly. Ideally, this is what the experience should be, uncomplicated and enjoyable.

I like the story. However, the cost is high for books on here and they are never ending. Not that the chapters are long, but it is almost the same outlying as the other books from this author. Sometimes it takes a moment to see what characters they have actively engaged in that chapter.

MY CRUEL PROTECTOR

MY CRUEL PROTECTOR

It was a violent, grounding sensation that made my eyes snap open, the violet light flickering briefly like a dying bulb. "Don't go into the dark, Ruby," he commanded, his obsession flaring. "If you go offline, I lose the link. If I lose the link, I can't feel if you’re still breathing. Stay with me." "I'm here," I choked out, leaning into his palm. "Where are we going?" "The Hive," he said. "The only place Thorne left off the books. It’s an old cold-war bunker in the Ural Mountains. It’s shielded by three miles of lead and granite. Even the Sovereign can't reach through it."

Deuces Wild: The Billionaire's Dangerous Obsession

Deuces Wild: The Billionaire's Dangerous Obsession

Halfway down Flamingo Road, going twenty over the limit, she had a single clear thought: why did I get in a car with this woman? She didn't get an answer until Pam turned into a sprawling estate and slowed to park beside a Victorian manor flanked by at least ten high-end cars. Manicured hedges. Swan topiaries along the path. The kind of place that looked expensive enough to make you feel poor just standing near it. "Where are we?" Brigail asked. Pam checked her lipstick in the rearview mirror. "Red Cavern. It's a high-class brothel." Brigail stared at the manor. Then at Pam. "Why?"

His Elusive Omega, His Resolute Alpha

His Elusive Omega, His Resolute Alpha

They called it the next step of their expansion, but experts would say that their slow decline started from the day they moved. When I was at my pettiest, I liked to believe that it was Karma. Served them right for what they were doing to Revon, which wasn’t anything good. The Hawthorne Manor was well and truly abandoned. The family had just locked up the home after Revon disappeared and left. The estate that was once crawling with security guards was now overgrown, and the house looked rough. Even though the gate was locked, the surrounding wall had been broken down from many places that it didn’t take much effort to just jump over one crack.

THE SOVEREIGN SHIELD

THE SOVEREIGN SHIELD

"He knows, doesn't he? That it’s not a fake marriage anymore?" "Arthur knows everything," Silas said, his jaw tightening. "And he’s going to try to find the new crack in my armor. Which, unfortunately, is you." The Lion’s Den Three hours later, we were pulling up the winding, gravel driveway of the Vane Estate. The house was a Gothic nightmare of gray stone and ivy, looming over the Hudson River like a tomb. It was the kind of place where secrets went to die and legacies were forged in blood.

TWO LIVES - Shattered Illusion

TWO LIVES - Shattered Illusion

“That’s a lot of pretty words to say ‘rich people playing savior.’” “Exactly,” Pony grinned. “And apparently, the whole thing happens in a closed-off mansion near… Girl!” She exclaimed. “What?” Niya was already regretting giving her the card. “Savannah.” Pony turned her phone around so Niya could see. “Mirehaven is in Savannah. As in peach cobbler, oak trees, slow drawls, and haunted-ass plantation homes Savannah. Doesn't look like a neighborhood to me. A fucking pilgrimage.” Niya pushed herself upright. “Savannah where?”

Beneath the Howling Pines

Beneath the Howling Pines

Where the first Ashfang wolves were said to have made their blood vows. A place of truth. He waited for me there, sitting on the edge of the stone ring, arms resting on his knees, eyes cast toward the water’s reflection. I sat beside him, the cool night air threading around my shoulders like a cloak. For a long time, neither of us said anything. Then, finally, he broke the silence. “I didn’t go scouting,” he said quietly. “Not really.” I nodded. “I know.” He didn’t look at me. “I went to the ruins. To what’s left of the Blackmoor estate.”

Too Late to Regret: The Billionaire’s Unwanted Ex

Too Late to Regret: The Billionaire’s Unwanted Ex

She took a deep breath of the air, which tasted of salt, pine, and ancient dust. Lucian helped Elara and the kids down. Leo looked around with wide eyes, gripping his father’s hand. "Are there monsters here, Dad?" "No, Leo," Lucian said, scanning the dark treeline. "Just us. And the walls." The Manor – 10:00 AM The Thorne Manor on Aethelgard wasn't a palace; it was a fortress. Built of dark granite and ironwood, it looked more like a lighthouse than a home. Inside, the furniture was shrouded in white sheets, looking like ghosts in the dim morning light.
