POV: Cormac Brennan Location: Mordaunt's Townhouse, Kensington Time: Two Days After Pack Meeting Mordaunt's townhouse is in the best part of Kensington. Five stories of Georgian architecture, perfectly maintained, the kind of property that costs millions. To humans passing by, it looks like old money. To supernaturals, it looks like exactly what it is. Power. I ring the bell. A thrall answers the door. Male, maybe twenty-five, beautiful in that empty way thralls get after years of vampire venom addiction. His eyes are glassy and unfocused until he registers that I'm supernatural. Then something like awareness flickers in them.

What he just saw was some very amazing stuff, even when magic is taken into account. I can’t believe I didn’t catch hypothermia earlier. The main gates are closed, but the drake’s carcass is gone. I circle SerpahFall’s outer wall, looking for my host. I tip my head up to take in the looming building. To think a day earlier, I thought Mrs. Gaines’ house was huge. After walking around in the dark for a bit, I reach the far side of the Manor’s wall. From across the courtyard, I see light. “Zen?” I peer inside A horse throws up its head and snorts. I stare at it in surprise.

Having a private property patrolled by actual wolves, like we do for our pack territories, would cause quite a few heads to turn, I’m sure. The guards wave us through when the gate fully opens after they check our IDs. Daddy drives his classic black Ferrari down the long road that leads up to the council’s mansion. It is a beautiful, traditional Victorian mansion, but it’s the biggest one I’ve ever seen. A full five stories in navy, black and cream. A large wrap around porch is the most prominent feature in the front and it spans the entire width of the building along the first, second and third floors. It is a grand, rambling style house, almost as if they added onto it as the years progres

"You're just another Debt Collector!" The manor began to dissolve into splinters. The red sun in the sky started to leak black ink. But as the boy shattered, a new door opened in the shadows behind the elk antler chair. It wasn't a door to the mountains, and it wasn't a door to the city. It was a heavy, industrial steel door with a small, brass plate that read: [MANAGEMENT NO TRESPASSING] A man walked out. He wasn't a child, and he wasn't a demon. He was wearing a janitor’s uniform and carrying a mop bucket filled with stars.

“Sorry for calling you this late, but we had to set aside the project since Bill is still unconscious.” My world suddenly spun around me. “W-what? I thought—” “He’s OD with an energy drink, sir.” *** The Thirty-five rooms Kentworthry Manor stood on the ground for over a century still looked prestigious with its Shakespearean architectural design from granite blocks. “Welcome back! How’s your flight?” Mama met me at the door. “Terribly long, but it’s worth it now that I am here. I missed you, Mama.” I pulled her into a hug.

Judy’s POV The manor was gorgeous; it was everything the magazines had said it was. It was in a secluded part of the Silver Crescent pack, so I never had the privilege of actually seeing it. In the beginning of the small forest, there was a pearl gate that led up the driveway and it was guarded by a couple of Gamma officers. Nobody was allowed to pass except for those with invitations and of course Gavin.

He waits until she has taken her seat before he scoots the chair forward, towards the table. He surprises her by taking the seat beside of her. Apparently, it surprises everyone, if the raised eyebrows are any indication. A plump woman, with short curly blonde hair that is going gray, comes over to the pot at the end of the table and grabs the plate there. She moves it to the empty place in front of Adam. Bella watches the woman bustling around and she takes in her appearance. It is the first time that she is actually seeing Mrs. Potter. The only times she was in and out of delirium or had her back to her. Now she takes her in and she smiles.

Only a selected few knew about this, so people wouldn't keep coming and going and end up putting the werewolf realm in potential danger. The only way to get through The Gate, was to give it a specific amount of potter's stone. Unlike it's name, the potter's stone was not made by or related to the potter. It was named that way, because of its resemblance in color to clay. They were really hard to find and even when you found them, expensive to acquire. A specific amount of the potter's stone was to be placed in the weigh-like figure at the side of The Gate that looked like it was for an aesthetic purpose. Without putting in the potter's stone, opening the gate would be like opening every othe
