A murmur broke out.
Someone near the back whispered, “That’s impossible.” Elder Odin smiled faintly. “Correct.”
The room went dead silent.
“Which is why,” he said, setting the feather down on the desk, “..we begin.”
Assistants moved through the aisles, placing one feather on each desk.
When the feather landed in front of me, it barely made a sound.
Lift a feather, I thought. How hard could that be?
