Part of the reason he camped in the mountains was that he knew he will get to see Phoenix a lot. But it wasn’t much since he would normally have dreams about her every time he sleeps.

I laughed out loud. Hot tears spilled down my cheeks. I wept for the utter absurdity of my past life. For how much I had given, and how little it had ever been worth. "Never would've what?" I said. But if you had truly devoted yourself to me, if you had been mine in soul and will, when I ascended, you would've become a true dragon.

I did not notice that we had reached the living room of the house and I was gently laid on the sofa and Ashton was surprised to see me. "Lia ?!" He suddenly stood up and came in front of me, I was just surprised when Phoenix turned him around and took his place opposite me, frowning at me. "Here's the kit, handsome!"
